"Thou shalt neither vex a stranger, nor oppress him: for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt."

First week of work went very well, even though I'm closing it off with a very mild head cold.

Remember your ALT text people

Repost with alt text added: Go to a cemetery. See all the baby graves there from before the 1950s & 1960s. Then, hardly any. That’s when people started vaccinating their kids. If you are unsure, the answer is, literally, written in stone.

Can't sleep, wrote a poem about what to do with my body when I die.

‪New pinned post: They call me Melancholy. If you have found yourself in this dreary corner of Bluesky, then welcome. I am nobody, a nameless collector of stories never told. Stay as long as you please, but if you must depart: Good night, and rest in peace.

I want a collection of reaction images that are just a Papyrus-esque version of Bás, the skull in my profile picture.

I made the cemetery feed "The Bell Tolls" and like the names of those forgotten souls in unmarked resting places, I will pass into the night, never again to cross the lips of those I left behind.

Well this was fun. iseej.github.io/LovePawsona/

Personally believe we need to bring back catacombs. In fact, if y'all give me infinite money, I will build a necropolis the size of Denver and give everyone a free burial space It'll also crash the value of the dollar and sink the world economy, but who cares about that?

not as much of a space pessimist as some of my mutuals but any society which is capable of sustaining long space expeditions will need to be substantially more productive and technologically advanced than ours is today. carving up the economy into rentiers and grifts will mean we never get there

One of the few times me and my Da bond are when we are enjoying the collapse of a mutual foe. Tonight, it was the utter destruction of the Chiefs.

Anyone got any good reading material regarding local organizing and local politics? I'm talking city councils, school boards, mayoral elections, and other city, town, & county level political topics.

Democrats: "We're reaching toward the center" You dumb fucks, YOU ARE THE CENTER. "Reaching for the center" here means "Being more Right Wing to pick up the scraps that the Trumpists leave behind" while completely sidelining or antagonizing the left of their coalition.

Current story concept is a former late-game goon being haunted by the ghost of the Hero he killed after the BBEG's plan kinda falls through and leaves the world in a Dark Age. The Hero is a ghost that lives in a sword and pushes him to get over his guilt and do some good in the world he fucked up.

The hard part about becoming a wise sage that lives in the woods is the fact that you actually have to grow up, live a life, and become wise.

I don't believe that taxing the rich is "punishing success" because I don't view the rich as successful. In fact, I consider a person who hordes that much wealth while half a million people are homeless and 17 million households are food insecure to be one of the greatest failures in our society.

Girlfriend just doesn't appreciate the power of a good stick like I do.

In a word with magic, I wouldn't be a wizard. I'd be the guy who makes all the brooms. (No this isn't entrepreneur posting. I just really like the idea of making handcrafted brooms.)

Well, my first story was rejected. But that's okay, I'll have another go at it come April.

If the US gets so bad that you start seeing an exodus of anti-rightists, I wonder if we'll get the ideological mirror of ROCOR: The Orthodox Church of America Outside the United States (OCAOUS)

The past 2 weeks have cemented my belief that the Presidency needs to be abolished. A single individual should have never been given such power and influence over an entire country. Hell, the entire world! A single individual should never have such a platform like the one the President has.

Just realized its Feb 1st, I wish everyone a grand and safe Black History Month, and God willing, we'll all live to see a hundred more.

Jesus never called his followers to defend Christianity, a “Christian nation,” or even their Christian churches. Jesus called them to defend the poor, the oppressed, and the hurting. Stop manipulating Jesus for the benefit of a few. Get to feeding, healing, and peacemaking.

God bless the aid workers and their resistance. I wish there was a way for their program to defect to a country not ruled by heartless, soulless bastards.

I became a believer in Virtue Ethics mostly cause I don't think a moral judgement can be applied to actions based on consequences that you can't guarantee or inherently know, but I also don't think absolute, nuance-less rules actually ensure ethical behavior.

I think that it is important that Christians in this country realize and recognize that the US gov. has fallen under a heresy that is dangerous to us all. They'll claim to be Christian and twist the scripture to their own purpose, but they are wolves in the pasture. We have a duty to resist them.

The road to hell is paved with the skulls of priests, and the skulls of bishops light the way. This man better watch himself before he becomes pavement. (for the record, this is not a threat. It is a spiritual warning)
