I am PUMPED for #AASL25 and truly excited to share this work that grew out of listening to our students regarding what they needed and wanted from our library program. Thank you @melissacorey.bsky.social for creating this easy-to-use template! #TLSky #SchoolLibraries #Skybrarian

Is this the MUST HAVE library neon sign for next school year?! I spotted this LET’S READ neon sign in a TikTok video about Hobby Lobby’s new school decor. It’s only $20 and pretty sizable for the price! ❤️💜💙🩷

Here are some high school titles to celebrate AANHPI month! (thanks @melissacorey.bsky.social for the templates) #TLSky #BookSky

A8: One of my favorite way to reach community members is a Read Poster campaign! We featured our local baseball team's mascot a few years ago #TLSkyChat

Q8 It’s the final question of the night! 🏁 Branding in your community … how do you do outreach with businesses, public libraries, and organizations? What partnerships could you form? Give us your ideas! #TLSkyChat For more information visit: tlskychat.com

And we’re nearing the end! 🎉 The final question is just moments away. Let’s wrap this up with some big shoutouts! 🛤️🎉 #TLSkyChat

A7: If you haven't tried printing your own stickers before, I suggest StickerApp! It's easy to use, fast shipping, and good pricing: stickerapp.com/custom-stick... (no affiliation I just really like stickers) #TLSkyChat

A7: I've also provided free popcorn from Double Good's Donate Joy program for staff to promote library services. Food is a great way to get staff into your space and share your library resources! #TLSkyChat

A7: When I publish my newsletter, I always put it on a cart with stickers, 3D printed objects, bookmarks, and free books to promote the library! #TLSkyChat

Q7 for tonight’s #TLSkyChat! Promo items … stickers, bookmarks, objects, oh my! Do you provide any kind of goodies or items to staff? This is a great way to get your brand out! For more information visit: tlskychat.com

Ready or not, here comes question 7! #TLSkyChat

A6: I started using a Bitmoji Library during the pandemic and I've recently updated it! It is embedded on our school website with interactive links to resources #TLSkyChat

Q6 for tonight’s #TLSkyChat! Every school library has a website! How do you make your school library website fun, engaging, and creative? Let’s see your website! 😃 For more information visit: tlskychat.com

Here it comes! Q6 is up next! 🚀 Let’s think brands, fonts, logos, and more! Keep those ideas flowing! 🧠 #TLSkyChat

A5: I do not have separate social media accounts for my library, so I post library info to our school accounts, like this year;s National School Library Day graphics! #TLSkyChat

Q5 for tonight’s #TLSkyChat! How do you use social media in your library? 📱Do you have separate accounts for your library or do you use your school’s account? Share your favorite social media ideas! For more information visit: tlskychat.com

A3: I also want to add my favorite font sites! You can upload fonts directly to Canva! #TLSkyChat Free Fonts: www.dafont.com Font Detector: www.myfonts.com/pages/whatth... I use font detectors ALLLLL the time to identify brand or logo fonts from movies or popular culture

Just one minute until Question 5! #TLSkyChat

A4: Sharing your Star Library Students or Patrons of the Week to your library news is a great way to promote your library! Add a sign or fun frame for students to hold and you have a great promo for following library expectations #TLSkyChat

A4: I *just* started a library newsletter this year. I send mine out quarterly in print and via email for staff. I also provide it with some library promo items (question on those coming up soon!) for staff! I report circulation states, highlights, and more #TLSkyChat

Q4 for tonight’s #TLSkyChat: Let’s talk library newsletters! 📰 Do you have a library newsletter? Is it print or digital? If not, how do you share the awesome things you do? Share your ideas! 📚 #TLSkyChat

✨ We’re almost there! Only a minute to go until the Q4 drops! 📚 #TLSkyChat

A1: Actually I do! I haven’t done much with it but it’s our mascot over some books. I used Canva. #tlskychat

A1 A class I took in grad school a few years ago motivated me to make a more professional logo in Canva for my school's library. In Canva you can add set colors and things as a Brand Kit. I have one in dark blue, white, and dark gray to go along with our school colors. #TLSkyChat

A3: I've been on a real kick with the font SAILORS in Canva. I like that it's bold and easy to read from a distance for our low sight students! #TLSkyChat

A3: Having multiple students with low sight this year made me take a hard look at accessibility of fonts on signage and even on keyboards/keypads we use for checkout. Larger, sans serif fonts work best. We also have a blind student who hais Braille signs in our school #TLSkyChat

A3: Font pairings are always my go to! I like to pair script and display fonts together: www.canva.com/learn/the-ul... #TLSkyChat

Q3 for tonight’s #TLSkyChat! FONTS! Who doesn’t love a good font? What are your go to fonts for your library? Share out! For more information visit: tlskychat.com

Who’s ready for Question 3? #TLSkyChat

A2: I use what I would consider a TON of signage for wayfinding. My favorite signage is probably these shelf tags for series. I have the cover plus series titles in order. I tape them to the shelf to make it easy for students to browse and select books in a series #TLSkyChat

A2: My library rules posters have really helped me teach and reteach expectation this year! They are all color coded so each one matches, but they explain expectations for each space. Feel free to adapt: www.canva.com/design/DAGFU... #TLSkyChat

Q2 for tonight’s #TLSkyChat! How do you use signage to build your brand in your school library? Rules, displays, wayfinding … everywhere there’s a sign! Share your favorite signs and let’s chat! ✨ #TLSkyChat
