So all the TikTok ban is going to do is push US citizens to become fluent in Mandarin and realize that the Chinese people are actually super nice and welcoming. What a way to backfire. RedNote is currently #1 in downloads in the US (and it's a great app).

A Kardashian is complaining about LA water mgmt after 2 sisters went 300k+ gallons over restriction in the summer. My 3k sqft home used 8k gallons/month. I have a sprinkler system & 5ppl. Do that math. The 1% & their excess is the reason our planet is screwed.

The TikTok case - obviously the US cannot handle the free market anymore. It's not about data. Our data has been stolen many times (and China could buy it). Many of us in tech assume nothing is private. It's about money and control. Meta/X are losing marketshare and TT moderates content.
