So, Pope Francis is dead. I'm going to follow the saying that if you having nothing nice to say, say nothing at all. The problem is that I've already said every nice thing I have to say about him so I think we're done here.

Dear Canada, As an American, I want to say that you're doing a good job with pissing off an orange asshole doing damage to my country. Keep it up. I hope you don't come to hate us Americans, but I also want you to know that I'm sorry for some of my countrymen & I love you guys. Never change. Mello

For once, in what seems like forever, I log onto Bluesky and see good news countering the bad news in my feeds. I don't know, but today is looking up. Keep it up, universe. My supply of hope hasn't been completely refilled.

While I'm not enjoying the #FAFO moments like I use to, I think it's worth stating that there's a difference between shooting yourself in the foot with a pistol, and blowing your foot off with a shotgun. I'll let you figure out what happened to those who fooled around.

I wonder what Abe would think of the current state of American politics if he were alive today, particularly from the party calling itself "the party of Lincoln."

I believe that everyone has a Rule Zero. Mine is "Class is always in session. Be ready to learn." A rule zero is a standard to which you hold everyone, including yourself. Now I'm curious, What is your #RuleZero?

1/2 If I'm being honest, there are times where I hate life in rural Pennsylvania. It's bad when I have music playing and still hear some guy at the grocery store spouting BS about the pilot of the army helicopter that collided with a plane in DC running into the plane on purpose. 🧵

I think it's worth stating, for the record, that if you want your freedoms to remain intact, you need to part ways with the idea that a fight for our liberties has an endgame. If you want to kill fascism with fire, you need to play the long game. Even bad ideas don't die so easily.

Well, we're boned.

If Evangelicals switched from Christian Nationalism to the teachings of Jesus, the IRS would be taxing them pretty damn quick. If you're not controlling people with religion then what's the point?

I wish I had the courage to carry on the fight against the human scarecrow, but I don't. That said, I thank those of you who do. I'm only sorry that I don't have that courage myself. If I did, I would be right there with you all. As it stands, I'm trying to keep living. Wish me luck.

I have mine renewed, but I'm also hearing reports of ID documents being confiscated. Can anyone confirm these reports?

Things are rough, and are only going to get rougher, but I'll do my best to try and keep a positive attitude. With a little help from my friends, I'll get by. For those that are reading this, please stay safe. The fight isn't over...not yet, anyway.

To people in Houston who may not be familiar with how to handle winter weather, here are a few things to remember: 1) If you need to go somewhere, give yourself time and let your car engine run long enough to warm the cabin. This will help with defrosting your windshield. 1/?

KNOW YOUR RIGHTS. You have the legal right to yell “la migra” to warn. Use your right to remain silent and your right to an attorney. Ice is already in parts of Chicago and will be in - LA - NY - Boston - Miami - Washington, D.C. - Denver - Houston - San Antonio - Dallas Stay safe! Ily all

Uh...I think we broke it.
