A late post but want to get the word out there! New prelim work using generative AI to simplify hospital discharge instructions is out in npj Digital Medicine! www.nature.com/articles/s41... The model was able to simplify instructions effectively, but 18% of outputs had a major safety risk.

The Sydney Health Literacy Lab is coming to Bluesky soon! This is about half of us, working across a huge range of health topics. We're passionate about #healthcommunication that meets #healthliteracy needs to improve equity, using behavioural & social science methods with a codesign approach.

Interesting. Requiring age verification means social media companies will have to collect more private information about users - information that they can use to inform algorithms and/or sell to 3rd parties. Then there is the question of data security, which history tells us is always flawless
