Wow! important news about the 5xFAD mice: Although female mice have more amyloid plaques than male ones, mice who inherit the transgene paternally have more cortical amyloid than those who inherit it maternally (independent of mouse age, sex & colony). This effect is cumulative across generations!

Los Angeles area friends - the LA Times reported that some fire hydrants in affected areas have run dry due to demand. To help firefighters and protect our neighbors & their homes, please reserve water, especially now. Hoping for the safety of all & quick containment of these horrible blazes.
