Cutting nearly a billion dollars from Medicaid will be disastrous for the health of our nation. Over 72 million individuals are enrolled in Medicaid. This is 21% of our population. That means 1 in 5 people will have less access to care, care coverage and/or care treatment. This is unconscionable.

Vasectomy regret rate is 6%. Regret for gender affirming surgery is 0.3%. So mathematically, we should be seeing 20 times as much ink spilled about vasectomy regret than gender affirmation regret. But we don’t, because that argument is a disingenuous front for transphobia.
