President Zelenskyy is a remarkable leader who has shown courage and determination in standing up for his people. With that, his class and his composure, he is an example for us all. Slava Ukraini 🇺🇦

🌙 Ramadan Mubarak to all those observing here in Liverpool ❤️ On behalf of everyone at Liverpool Labour and @lpoolcouncil.bsky.social we wish you & your families a peaceful and joyous month

Ramadan Mubarak to all my Muslim constituents & those celebrating around the world. Wishing you and your families a peaceful Ramadan.

Let’s flood. #StandWithZelensky

I agree with @davidbainesmp.bsky.social

Antisocial behaviour is sadly all too common across the Wirral. For too long, people across our area have been facing threats and intimidation in their own homes – this cannot go on.

And 125 years later, we've now got more working class MPs in the cabinet than there's ever been. 👏👏👏

Great to meet Varsha Gandikota-Nellutla & Guillaume Long to discuss the vital work of The Hague Group alongside parliamentary colleagues yesterday. The Hague Group is actively defending international law, working to uphold and enforce the rulings of the ICJ and ICC.

"With the state of British prisons literally crumbling year after year, the argument for lifting the strike ban has never been stronger." Read my latest Comment Central article on the crisis in our prisons: commentcentral.co.uk/the-crisis-i...

The Simonswood Stink is making some of my constituents physically sick. Yet Lancashire County Council and the Environment Agency continue to ignore it, despite repeated efforts from Knowsley Labour councillors and MPs. This is unacceptable. My question today ⬇

This week I voted to create Skills England, a new body to coordinate the creation and delivery of training and apprenticeships in England 🧑🏻‍🔧👷🏻‍♀️👨🏼‍🏫 📸 With Education Secretary Bridget Phillipson

After 14 years of relentless LibDem and Tory cuts @LiverpoolLabour working with a Labour government can now begin to reverse the damage they caused and invest in our city and communities.

As a coastal area, clean water is vital for people on the Wirral. Lots of people have contacted me about shocking conditions of our waterways across the Wirral. This Labour Government is taking important steps to make sure water bosses who pollute our waterways aren’t rewarded for doing so.

Today evidence from the Committee on Climate Change confirms that a low-carbon future works. We need finance options that make switching to heat pumps & EVs easy for ALL. Running costs are already lower, consumers can save money without changing how they live—it's a no-brainer!

I am delighted that Willowbrook Hospice is one of the hospices set to benefit from Labour’s £100m investment in the sector - the largest government investment in a generation. 👏🌹 www.sthelensstar.co.uk/news/2496506...

I met with my neighbouring MP @ashleydaltonmp.bsky.social to discuss the vile smell that repeatedly descends on Kirkby from a waste facility site. We are determined to work together with our councils and the Environment Agency to solve this. I will keep constituents up to date.

Today, we remember the 72 people who lost their lives in the Grenfell Tower tragedy. I welcome the news that the government is acting on all of the Inquiry’s findings. This must be used as a watershed moment for long-lasting, systematic change. Justice delayed is justice denied.

I welcome the Prime Minister’s announcement that defence spending will increase to 2.5% in this Parliament. This solidifies our government’s commitment to defending our values abroad. At home, we can make this an opportunity for British businesses to be at the very heart of our nation’s security.

I will be holding advice surgeries on the 7th March in Kirkby and the 21st March in Stockbridge Village. These local surgeries are an opportunity for you to raise your concerns and discuss any issues that matter to you. To book an appointment, please contact my office on 0151 305 9026.

Launch of @amnestyuk.bsky.social’s new report, Automated Racism, exposes how police use of technology to ‘predict crime’ means thousands are being racially profiled, purely based on: - Skin colour - Where they live - Socio-economic background This is automated racism and it needs banning.

The most effective guarantor of personal liberty is the social democratic state, as I outline here with reference to oligarchic tech bros. www.youtube.com/watch?v=U2Jk...

We want hungry minds, not hungry bellies! Great to see St. Vincent de Paul School selected as the only school in my constituency for Labour’s free breakfast clubs. Every child in Liverpool Riverside deserves the very best start – we must go further & provide free school meals for all children.

Absolitwly delighted to say that three St Helens North schools are among the first to benefit from Labour’s free breakfast club programme 🙌 They’re on offer to EVERY pupil and eventually will be in EVERY primary school. Find out more 👉 www.facebook.com/share/1Bj55h... 🥣

✍️ In my latest column for the @sthelensstar.bsky.social I have written about Labour’s efforts to create jobs and to improve pay and conditions for working people - opposed at every turn, in every single vote, by the Tories and Reform. 👇 www.sthelensstar.co.uk/news/2494089...

Today, this Labour government is launching Raneem’s Law - to embed the first domestic abuse specialists in control rooms across the UK.

Many of my constituents struggle to get access to an NHS Dentist. So I'm delighted that our Labour government is delivering on our Plan for Change by making NHS dentistry fit for the future.

Today the Labour Government launches Raneem’s law, placing domestic abuse specialists in 999 control rooms. The correct first response to domestic abuse is vital to protecting vulnerable women. I will continue to work with government, the council, and @The1stStep_ to push for improvements

Well done to everyone at Mary Halford School of Dance for their performance at Sedgemoor Hub in Norris Green for Dignity Action Month. It was such an uplifting day, and I'm delighted to have been able to attend and show my support.

✨🌹 Out again on the #LabourDoorstep, in a bright and sunny #Springwood. 🌤️👍 Thanks to the #LiverpoolLabour team, for all of your help! And to the residents who took the time to chat. ✨😊❤️ #SpringwoodMatters #OurCommunityMatters

Far too may people carry knives in our communities, often with devastating consequences. Our Labour Government is determined to crack down on knife crime.

I'm proud to share that I'll be running the Liverpool Half Marathon to raise funds for Elsie’s Story Charitable Trust—a cause that holds a special place in Southport's hearts.

📢 Supporting Lifelong Learning with The Open University 🎓 Great to attend The Open University Westminster Showcase last month and discuss the OU’s incredible impact in Southport and across the UK. As an OU alum myself, I know firsthand the value of flexible, accessible education

Great day in the constituency yesterday meeting key people from Huyton Asda, @gmb.org.uk, Sight and Mind CIC, and One Day at BowringGolf, as well as a drop in on the fantastic Galata Huyton, who are back up and running after their fire the other night 🧵1/5

Breakfast clubs provide kids with a breakfast, time to socialise with friends and provide busy parents with pre-school care. I’m encouraging all schools who need the support to apply below before applications for grants close! #kelloggsbreakfastclub2025 forevermanchester.com/fund/kellogg...

The UK’s trade policies must be consistent with our commitments to human rights and international law. Which is why I have signed a letter, alongside colleagues, asking the government to ban the import of illegal Israel settlement goods. www.mirror.co.uk/news/world-n...

Scams are becoming more and more sophisticated which makes it increasingly difficult to identify them. My constituents can read Age UK helpful information guide on what you can do to avoid scams and how to report them:
