If the Democrats had ANY BALLS at all, they would not stop a government shutdown. Google AI tells me that Secret Service are government employees. They'd be working without pay. Love may be free, but loyalty isn't. And right now, the problem is that not enough people reject the administration.

Any tactic one might use against abortion clinics to support a pro-life agenda seems equally applicable to Tesla dealerships. For the same reason. Also: you wanna hurt billionaires? Make it hurt to be their influencers. Unfollow anyone hawking luxury wares. Stop watching what you can't afford.

Get an economonics edumacation! Includes hope, if we all live that long. youtu.be/gqtrNXdlraM?...

For all its flaws, the United States has tried hard to make itself indispensable to the world. And this administration is going to prompt the rest of the world into making the US superfluous. The first irrelevant superpower.

Finished a playthrough of the Habitation TTRPG with my group. Asking players to roleplay and manage a structured story can be a bit much. For this reason, I prefer GM-directed stories with player input, which lets players focus on roleplaying. I still love the game.

Why would you establish a national language you can't speak? Oh, right. Insane bovine affliction.

It's official: even Disney Marvel can't compete with Bollywood when it comes to suspension of the laws of physics.

Added a form-fillable PDF worksheet to URGE for paying customers. The graphic-only table continues to be free. Grab a copy and bring your characters to life like you've never done before. merwins.itch.io/urge

I dare you to find a single experienced board gamer who would expect to win a game making moves like the current US government. Unless bankruptcy is your winning condition. Taking bets on what currency is going to replace the US dollar standard.

Did you know Yakov Smirnoff is still around? Joke's on him now. "What a country!"

Excited to be at Dundracon @dundracon.bsky.social this weekend! I'm hosting a workshop on character building with URGE and on a panel addressing mysteries in RPGs with the esteemed Kenneth Hite @kennethhite.bsky.social. Might have a few pick-up-and-play RPGs. Look me up!

Lots of pix lately with Elon Musk, possible illegal immigrant, holding a child. Could be love or pride, but I vote meat shield. Gregg Stillson showed him how in Stephen King's, "The Dead Zone". And his 12 kids? I'll pick organ donors for "witholding inheritance," Alex. We'll see, won't we?

For the first time ever, I am maintaining a gaming log. Call it a new year's resolution if you must, though I made no such commitment. But I figure I already actively scribe public notes for most sessions I play in. One more note doesn't really hurt.

To the rest of the world, it is with deepest regrets that I introduce "Your Nazi States of America." I've gradually come to the realization that the U.S. is not that much better or worse than most any other country. It just had better marketing. And now it doesn't even have that.

I'll need gins. Lots of gins.

Just finished watching Borderlands. Can't wait to get Alzheimer's.

Journalism is just terrible these days. I'm pretty sure wolves travel in packs, not herds.

Started watching Cromartie High School. Just after finishing Garth Marenghi's Darkplace. The transition is very smooth. Quart-of-olive-oil-on-the-way-out-smooth. Apparently it's a thing.

Humor is spontaneous. Comedy is planned. You can add both to your RPG sessions with Bone Up. itch.io/s/146112/who... 50% price drop Jan 10-Feb 16. Get it while the getting's good.

Discovered this sublime tune while watching The Revenant, a movie that tried too hard to be too many things. aqualash.bandcamp.com/track/they-s... I say it needs a lot more play. To agree, reshare!

Not every swing is going to get you a home run, but you gotta take every opportunity you get. Swing at every ball that comes your way. Sure, you might put future generations at risk, but on top of the practice, you'll end up with a lot more elbow room.

Beetlejuice Beetlejuice was a MUCH better musical than Joker: Folie à Deux. Also a better sequel. But neither surpassed its predecessor. Now, solve the logic puzzle of which is worth watching, from most to least.

Article popped up saying that artificial intelligence is showing signs of dementia. No surprise: Flawed people creating flawed technologies that they have to update every 12-18 months to avoid obsolescence. Welcome to the technological zombie wasteland.

The problem with a social media feed is that you tell a whole lot of people you don't know a whole lot about yourself that you'd rather people didn't know.

The optimist walks around with one eye closed. The pessimist walks around with the other eye closed. The cynic uses their third eye, which is really just a furrowed brow from squinting at everything.
