Okay, so it is not at all often that I read a book and decide halfway through the first chapter that everyone and their dog should read it, too. This one is it, though. Ho-lee heck. Within just a few pages, it taught me more about human nature than I have learned from 2016 to now.

@hankgreen.bsky.social So, apparently "birds evolved from dinosaurs" is not a basic scientific fact? A joke contest in my courthouse led to my pointing out that one can have a dino for a pet if one has a bird. My lawyer/magistrate judge did not know this. People here thought crocs were dinos! WTH?

I was right. No omeprazole, no nightmares. No animals were harmed, I was not betrayed, belittled, humiliated, and dismissed. Just weird but not bad dreams that ended with me desperately trying to find a bathroom that woke me up 20 minutes before my 1st alarm. I'll take that over Saw dreams any day.
