No active duty Marine should ever accept an order to violate the law and be involved against US Citizen. The only acceptable answer to such an order is "NO, SIR". Marines are trained to kill the enemy, and the enemy is not unarmed US civilians.

LA County by population would be tenth on the list of US States, between Michigan and New Jersey. California by itself would rank 4th in the list of the World's largest economies. Messing with California is a bad idea.
