Liberal activist are urging Democrats to fight harder against the administration. But this is the same bad advice that led to crushing Democratic defeats in 2006 and 2008.

This is how it’s done.

I'm worried that my NC Dem governor was appointed by Trump to be co-chair of the Council of Governors.

End the death penalty

Connecticut has ended the death penalty. Now, it's considering a bill to stop its businesses from helping executions elsewhere. “In recent years, too many executions around the country have connected straight back to the state,” said an advocate. boltsmag.org/connect...

Maine’s Gov. Mills: “See you in court.” Trump called her out over the trans athletes ban and threatened to withhold funding, she said she will follow the law. More: thehill.com/homenews/lgb...

primary every democrat

"Hochul is dithering about whether to use her powers. AOC, in contrast, exercised her 1st Amendment rights to inform her constituents about their 4th Amendment rights. In doing so, she showed that the administration is tyrannical. She also showed that it’s weak — if you’re willing to confront it."

New in PN: AOC shows how to fight back and stand strong "Prominent figures standing up can undermine the climate of fear that MAGA relies on to impose terror. AOC’s work on behalf of her constituents and refusal to be intimidated are models of resistance other Democrats would do well to imitate."

Yes?

The @nytimes.com changed the story and has now added this info after I caught them last night. This is why I screenshot these stories. There was no editors note added nor did they point out that a stealth edit was made. h/t @shoq.bsky.social

Urge people to listen to this to help see how Trump has no mandate and is more vulnerable by the day if Dems can shake their slumber and organize the anti-authoritarian majority.

It's not "controversial," guys, it's a Nazi salute. You can call it out as such. Stop dancing around the truth.

In addition to Congress being the place that makes the laws, pretty key thing, the constitution explicitly says Congress gets to create the postal system. It’s not left implied that that comes under law making generally. The President has no power to unilaterally abolish it and move it to commerce.

It is so *weird* living in a new reality that most people can't even see. Million of people think they're still living in a world that no longer exists. Wildly disconcerting times.

Steve Bannon zeigt den Hitlergruß auf der Bühne, die Menge jubelt. Er setzt nach „Amen.“

If you’re wondering why I declined to talk to the NYTimes, then you haven’t been following my account for very long. They bear a direct responsibility for the current situation we find ourselves in, and I responded by laying out my position and that I would only talk to @jamellebouie.net

A Chicago Tribune editorial scolds IL Gov. J.B. Pritzker for his supposedly “premature” comparison of the rise of Trumpism with the rise of Nazism in Germany. Apparently the Trib wants everyone to wait until Trump gets even more authoritarian before speaking out. Which might be too late. 🧵 1/2

1. Pick your battles. 2. ???? 3. Win midterms.

AGAIN: If they actually cared about the deficit they wouldn’t also be cutting trillions in taxes for the rich. They think we are all very dumb.

Making clear that the entire enterprise is about hurting "those people" and sparing "us people."

awwwww shit y'all, the flight attendants have entered the chat 🤘🤘🤘

I’m so sick of people saying this shit, especially elected officials. He’s the president. Declaring himself a king after issuing an order just the day before that says he’s the final authority on all laws isn’t a goddamn distraction.

"Wolf News Alert: Growing 'fuck the king' movement takes Trump to task for claiming he is now king of America."

i dont know if the democrats are aware of this, but americans have a gut reaction to monarchy. its almost as if rejection of monarchy is a part of the dna of every american. i mean, its like we have a whole day every year dedicated to the idea that the monarchy can go fuck itself.

“I am a king and my will is law” isn’t a clever distraction from what he’s doing, it’s the central underlying justification for everything he’s doing.

"Republican senators find themselves in an unusual position these days: begging Trump officials to release funds they themselves appropriated." Honestly, is there a more pathetic, contemptible collection of cowards & simps in the entire world?

Democratic leaders: I think it's abundantly clear at this point that simply going along to get along ain't gonna work. Trying to negotiate ain't gonna work. Being collegial ain't gonna work. What you're doing right now isn't working. Take your gloves off and punch back. Hard.

Purge. What a tool.

Everybody thinks the "Gulf of America" thing is petty nonsense, but it's just prelude for this motherfucker changing his honorific to "His Excellency" and banning news organizations that refuse to refer to him that way.

Now this, I can co-sign.
