This is the ultimate dick boss move from Musk - except he isn’t even the boss, he’s just a dick.

today’s office 💻

DOGE's only public ledger is riddled with mistakes. www.nytimes.com/2025/02/21/u...

Next week, House Republicans plan to hold a vote on their budget resolution, which will likely lead to substantial Medicaid cuts. I vehemently oppose cuts to Medicaid. If this legislation comes to the floor, I will vote NO. #DontCutMyMedicaid

Extremely fascist things happening. While everyone sits there obediently.

More convinced than ever that senior and elected Democrats might really be misreading the sentiment among their base, and that they could be caught badly flat-footed by their own voters very soon. split-ticket.org/2025/02/21/t...

Among those Trump and Musk fired at the FAA: - Lawyers who help keep drunk or reckless pilots out of the skies - Air traffic control support staff - Employees who track potential new flying hazards like cranes - Staffers who medically clear pilots to fly www.rollingstone.com/politics/pol...

Musk, Trump, and RFK Jr.’s cuts to the CDC have halted 9/11 health care for Ground Zero workers www.rollingstone.com/politics/pol...

X is censoring journalists. The United States Attorney for D.C. is sending officials communications exclusively through X. An agency that purportedly runs the government under an unconstitutional principal officer(?) who owns the site the agency communicates on exclusively. We got a problem!

MARYLAND: “The Maryland National Guard will not participate in the parade honoring abolitionist Frederick Douglass due to guidance set by (Trump’s) Department of Defense.” www.wmar2news.com/local/maryla...

Opinion | Homosexuality is an abomination against God, but what happens at CPAC stays at CPAC.

Trump's GOP might really struggle in 2026 compared to 2018. He's turned off even *more* high-propensity voters by now, and the voters he drew to balance those losses out are mostly inconsistent voters who backed him for the economy and rely on welfare programs that he wants to gut.

Good riddance. Along with Donald Trump, this is probably the person who did the most damage to America and its democracy in the post-war era.

Pretty devastating new WaPo poll on Trump A majority of Americans: • Say he’s not honest (62%) • Say he’s exceeded his authority (57%) • Disapprove his job as president (53%) • Disapprove his economic record (53%) • Disapprove management style (54%)

sure, democrats in Congress should be more forceful but the real power lies with the republicans in the majority who are pathetic cowards of the highest degree

Scoop --> Trump-Musk cuts just resulted in the firing of numerous top researchers at NIH's center for combating Alzheimer's, sources tell me. They predict big setbacks to fighting dementias. This cause was once championed by *Republicans.* Details here: newrepublic.com/article/1917...

There is, in some corners, an intellectual effort to dress up Trump's personal style of politics as a deep ideology—e.g., he's an old-school Jacksonian; he's for returning the world to 19th c spheres of influence; etc—but fundamentally, the guy just cannot stand having mean things said about him

@hakeem-jeffries.bsky.social: The biggest hustle is the fact that Republicans are planning to hurt everyday Americans by doing things like destroying Medicaid... they want to pass massive tax cuts for their billionaire donors and wealthy corporations and stick working class Americans with the bill.

She deserves every moment of this for the rest of her time on this planet ❤️

This is why you fight these cowards. The moment you stand up to them, they crumble. Homan has nothing. The Fourth Amendment is clear and I am well within my duties to educate people of their rights. He can threaten me with jail and call names all he wants. He’s got nothing else.

Put him on the stand!

I want us to find a different way to express our valid frustrations and fears with the government beyond reflexively absolving one of our political parties—the one currently in charge of everything for that matter—of seemingly any responsibility to govern effectively.

it’s actually insane how lawless this administration is compared to Trump’s first term. all this shit is blatantly illegal and is completely destroying state capacity

Our 249-year-old system is pretty damn resilient — not indestructible by any means, but resilient. It has built-in features that lead to—and often encourage—thermostatic political and institutional movement. All that to say: Is it Nov. 2026 yet ?? 🙃

Translation: Brad begged & his billionaires boosted him.

**really** hope that’s the case. 🤞🏻 I hope Trump galvanizes our allies to fill the global leadership vacuum while America’s anti-Trump majority reassembles into a stable coalition.

Donald Trump is going to be 82 in 2028. Which is older than Joe Biden was when he began declining substantially, and I think people are really overrating his power. Elections are very decentralized, and Trump and the GOP cannot simply stay in power just because they want to.

BREAKING WAPO: Elon Musk's DOGE is seeking access to a heavily-guarded IRS system that includes detailed financial information about every taxpayer, business, and nonprofit in the country — sparking alarm within the tax agency. www.washingtonpost.com/business/202...

Let me put it another way: if Republicans get what they want via the budget and DOGE (cut social security, SNAP, Medicare, Medicaid), Trump probably enters 2026 battling nuclear waste for “most unpopular thing in America”. Doesn’t matter who owns Twitter or what Fox says.

So yeah, even after a bunch of accidents that highlighted FAA staffing shortages they still went ahead and fired FAA staff. They don't know what they are doing.

“The thing that I can’t get over is that the actual richest man in the world directed my fucking firing. I make $50k a year and work to keep drinking water safe. The richest man in the world decided that was an expense too great for the American taxpayer.”

the single most un-american and anti-constitutional statement ever uttered by an american president

saturday

If only there had been signs

I’m convinced that had we not even tried or gone as hard as we did, Trump’s margin would’ve been larger, Reps would be close to a supermajority in the Senate & the GOP majority in the House would be larger than 2-3. The good news: we’ve got a couple years to assemble a winning coalition/message.

ok I’m going to have to listen to more Sheryl Crow ❤️✊

This is false. The power of the purse is meaningless if the executive can simply disregard the appropriation of dollars is the law. There are numerous specific textual bases for this claim. But the mere logic of the document and the structure it creates makes this emphatically clear.
