My pre-order of No Cop City, No Cop World came in the mail today 🙌🏽 so excited to dig into it. Congrats, @micahh.bsky.social! Also, it’s indie bookstore weekend and @bookshop.org has free shipping… just saying 👀 bookshop.org/p/books/no-c...

The Trump administration deported a 2-year-old U.S. citizen on Friday.

This week Inquest covered the criminalization of Catholic activists who engage in direct action to oppose nuclear weapons, and increased efforts by the state to stymie democratic protest by threatening activists with decades in prison. Get the full recap: mailchi.mp/inquest.o...

"The Stop Cop City RICO indictment makes clear that, to those in power, the intertwined acts of practicing mutual aid and fighting to secure a livable planet are acts of criminal conspiracy - in the state’s eyes, they are domestic terrorism."

A dream is a wish your heart makes. That title is my perfect world.

weekend reading🔥🔥 www.haymarketbooks.org/books/2541-n... @micahh.bsky.social @kamaufranklin.bsky.social

this was a great and strangely hopeful read!

“We must work to dismantle punishment infrastructure while building the systems, services, networks, and relationships that communities need to survive and thrive.”

Wisconsin friends, there's an emergency action in Milwaukee with a demand to immediately #FreeJudgeDugan being planned. A comrade asked me to spread this far and wide if you're in town. www.mobilize.us/wfpower/even...

so the prosecution on Luigi's case listened to calls between him and his attorney...how convenient! they've done the same thing in the cop city RICO prosecution btw!!

We also need to constantly address the ways that criminalization is used to render people disposable. Every response is "well I thought they would only do X to the criminals."

"Just as elites are growing punishment infrastructure while dismantling the social safety net...we must work to dismantle punishment infrastructure while building the systems, services, networks, and relationships that communities need to survive and thrive."

"The Stop Cop City RICO indictment makes clear that, to those in power, the intertwined acts of practicing mutual aid and fighting to secure a livable planet are [..] domestic terrorism." "Movements that intend to win must plan from the beginning to withstand repression." #Georgia #USA #Policing

"Critically, keeping each other safe amidst repression means refusing to throw anyone under the bus ... As much as possible, we must deal with internal conflict where the state is not watching. Our movements' ability to survive—and ultimately win—will depend on how well we protect each other."

“To a state hell-bent on dividing people along racial, class, and other lines, active solidarity across the masses is a threat to its power—which is precisely why the state is so intent on crushing the opposition.” @micahh.bsky.social & @hannahcrileyy.bsky.social #StopCopCity inquest.org/the-tool...

Just the fire I needed today! Thanks @micahh.bsky.social and @hannahcrileyy.bsky.social !

This is the most beautiful book and one of the things nourishing focusing and growing me in this time. I never cease to be blown away and grateful beyond measure for the gifts @biidaasamose.bsky.social continues to generously and gorgeously bestow on us. Can’t wait to listen to the launch convo.

💕thank you so much… and thank you for writing the piece in inquest that we all appreciated reading so much ⬇️ inquest.org/the-tools-of...

Glad I didn’t preorder quite yet so I can do this!

!!!!!! you can pre-order No Cop City, No Cop World through @workshops4gaza.bsky.social's site and help fund the critical Sameer Project! link here: open-books-a-poem-emporium.myshopify.com/collections/...

From @hannahcrileyy.bsky.social & @micahh.bsky.social :"We must also continue the work of dismantling the infrastructure of punishment, regardless of who is building or deploying it" This means all surveillance technology, of course: atlpresscollective.com/2025/01/23/o...

share.inquirer.com/cWZoyv - Defund was villainized and yet it was always the basement.

“The repression of the Stop Cop City movement has demonstrated that what makes a ‘bad’ protester in the state’s eyes is not the protester’s tactics, but rather their threat to power—a threat that, as mentioned, is posed by simple practices of solidarity and collectivity.”

"Punishment infrastructure is a prerequisite for fascism. Mass criminalization of dissent requires surveillance technology to identify and track state enemies; media organs to demonize those enemies; state agents to round them up; laws to charge them with breaking; & jails & prisons to put them in."

“To a state hell-bent on dividing people along racial, class, and other lines, active solidarity across the masses is a threat to its power—which is precisely why the state is so intent on crushing the opposition through RICO and other extreme charges.”

“You can’t be surveilled by a camera that hasn’t been installed; you can’t be arrested and dragged away in the middle of the night by a police force that hasn’t been funded and staffed; and you can’t be put in a cage that hasn’t been built.”

You cannot view what is happening right now without the context of #StopCopCity. The state killed forest defender Tortuguita & charged dozens with domestic terrorism & RICO charges. Fascism is and has been here. This is how they will come for all of us. Read this 👇👇👇

This 💯💯💯

new from @micahh.bsky.social and me: the coming years will test our resilience, but they will also offer chances to sharpen our strategies, deepen our solidarity, and expand our collective power. we must anticipate repression, and develop strategies to weather the storm. inquest.org/the-tools-of...

wrote about punishment infrastructure as the prerequisite for fascism, what's happening & what's coming in terms of state repression, and the need to dismantle the tools of repression regardless of who's controlling them w/ @hannahcrileyy.bsky.social for @inquest.bsky.social

there's been such a firehose of bad news that many changes in the criminal legal system have gone underreported - like the police misconduct database being axed, Bondi's sentencing memos, etc. join me & these smart people 4/30 to talk about the under the radar stuff! us06web.zoom.us/webinar/regi...

The Stop Cop City movement is a lens through which we can analyze all of our movements going forward. This is an important book. Check it out!

This will be a must read! Huge congratulations to @micahh.bsky.social and everyone who contributed to this! Pre-order now!

Just pre-ordered. Maybe you want to join me?
