Last month, Sen. Deb Fischer's (R-NE) husband refused to shake the Vice President's hand. Yesterday, he tried to shake Doug Emhoff's hand. The Second Gentleman replied: "Why would you try to shake my hand when you wouldn’t shake my wife’s hand?” REPOST if you love Doug Emhoff!

To give myself a bit of definition, I am not a "Yellow Dog Democrat." Since my first vote in 1972, I have never voted for a Republican, but I read and listened to them. There are values that underlie both parties and the values that speak to me find voice in the Democratic Party. It's that simple.
