David Lynch opened and held a place for art that other creators could point to whenever a potential editor or producer wanted to turn their work down because it was too weird, and get that work made/published etc. He kept proving audiences weren't dumb.

This is a painful loss. David Lynch, I will miss you, your daring art and your truly unique personality.

Well, I received one box of Scott Nicolay's new novella _caterpillars_, but the second box is somewhere in the bowels of the USPS, last seen in Phoenix AZ. *sigh* So if you order now you still have a chance to win a copy of Scott's rare 2015 novella _after_. Only 23 copies of _caterpillars_ left!

Laird Barron is a titan of modern prose. The words he chooses, the pictures he paints, combine together for a phenomenal experience called Not A Speck of Light. You can read my full ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ review here: www.facebook.com/CharsHorrorC... @badhandbooks.bsky.social @lairdbarron.bsky.social #horrorsky

In our quest to bring you the best in contemporary weird fiction, few titles have had the lasting impact and influence of John Langan’s Bram Stoker Award-winning novel, The Fisherman, which Word Horde published in 2016.

Thrilled to share my recent cover art for Scott Nicolay’s fantastic chapbook ‘Caterpillars’, forthcoming from the always superb @dimshores.bsky.social . Totally honored to work with both Scott and Sam. Follow Dim Shores for preorder info on this and so much other great indy horror/weird fiction.

I sent a newsletter today with info on Scott Nicolay's forthcoming novella caterpillars, announcement of a new book, and a very brief comment on the return of T---p to the presidency. You can read it online here: bit.ly/3Zd13Bx

One episode into The Penguin and I'm hooked. Feels like it takes place in a world midway between Batman and The Sopranos. Great writing, intriguing characters, solid acting.

Here's the cover of my upcoming horror novel GIRL IN THE CREEK, about a true crime writer's discovery of a dead body who refuses to stay dead. Twin Peaks meets Invasion of the Body Snatchers, coming June 2024 from Tor Nightfire! us.macmillan.com/books/978125...

It’s #FridayReads time! The goal is to boost all signals and help folks beat the algorithm. Repost this and let us know what to repost for you. I’m plugging this little angry monster. Come for the vengeance, stay for the things that come out of the ocean… www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/0316...

Authors and Publishers, it's worth checking this website which seems to be giving away free downloads of all kinds of ebooks, including some of my own.

I’ve been weirdly uninterested in reading fiction for a while. Nothing like a new Laird Barron collection to get me excited to sit down and read! @lairdbarron.bsky.social @badhandbooks.bsky.social

Half the people on Bluesky, talking about Threads. Half the people on Threads, talking about Bluesky. 100% of the people on Threads and Bluesky, talking about That Other Place.

I don't know who needs to hear this, but NOT A SPECK OF LIGHT by Laird Barron is 99c in Kindle format on the Zon for a limited time. www.amazon.com/Not-Speck-Li...

I love to see so many people still flowing in here (and also to Threads) away from Twitter. Welcome, new people!

I avoided Star Trek: Enterprise all these years because I thought I wouldn't like it (probably because of the theme song) even though I love pretty much all Star Trek. I'm glad my wife convinced me to try it, because it's a lot of fun, and now I wish there were more than four seasons.

Creative friends who have taken a break from your art form, after some time away from, say, writing, do you still consider yourself a writer? If you don't paint a picture for a year or two, do you still think of yourself as a painter?

If you're part of the writing community, could you please holla and RT so we can find each other? I want to build up what we once had on Twitter (but better) #writers #writing

I could see playing Stardew Valley for about 20 hours this weekend.

Seeing so many people report that they've shut down their Twitter makes me want to run over there and look around... but it's not gonna happen!
