Loving the new On Rails podcast so far. The first episode with @rosa.codes is a banger! All about Solid Queue and how that came about. And finally somebody puts it in words exactly when I prefer cron jobs over a scheduled jobs. Well done Rosa and robbyonrails.com! 👏👏

Disabled my affiliate program for new signups. Bye bye, you shall not be missed! 👋👋 I never wanted it, but I opened the program because I had so many people asking for it. There has been a handful of new sales, but overall it was used for abuse and bid on our name in Google Ads.

How would you run non schema change data migrations in Rails? I always just copied them in the console after deploying but I'm wondering there might be a bit more professional way to do this. Don't love creating a migration file because it might break the migrations at some point in the future.

My best customer asked if we support a feature in a certain way. We didn't. Vibed it within an hour and $2.84. In exactly the same style I would have written it in myself. Fully with tests and everything. Not sure I would be faster if I did it myself but liking it anyways 🤣

This is how I do my taxes for Nusii 🙂 Half is done by AI. It works great! It used to take me 1,5 hours per month and now it only takes me 15 minutes max. The only thing I haven't automized is downloading the bank statements and downloading some invoices.
