Things are getting kinda wacky in the Republican party! "Trump loyalists in Congress are pushing bills to rename Washington Dulles as Donald J. Trump Intl. Airport, carve his face onto Mt Rushmore, and make his birthday a holiday One bill would amend the Constitution to allow Trump a third term."

So now the redoubtable Musk is posing with world leaders under a setting evocative of state dignitaries meeting. Very revealing optics and I very much doubt it was Modi's or Trump's idea. Not Marco Rubio's either. Very revealing of who is the puppet master in D.C. now. Who holds Musk's strings?

Are they coming after BlueSky? The only social media I visit are BlueSky and Substack. Can the government exert pressure on the two owners to force them to change the rules as happened with Facebook? Substack and BlueSky are the last remaining social media bastions of resistance to the coup.

#philsci someone asked me in effect who should participate in a Philosophy round table. I replied, "Anyone." But in the case of a Philosophy of Science seminar, perhaps it's best for discussion purposes to have more training behind ones contributions. Like Astronomy vs Xray Astronomy seminars.

Irrespective of GHG, heat is a major waste product of civilization. From jet airplanes to smartphones to ourselves and our herds- all are releasing heat into the atmosphere. Our cities are heat islands that change the weather and yearly the problems worsen.
