I know it’s a meme and all but I find YT premium worth paying for just for the Music app alone. YT has been absolutely top-notch for me in music recommendations and discovery for years. Beats any other service and app I’ve tried.

You can become a cracked dev without following all the Tech news daily. The fundamentals barely changed in 30 years. You are not missing anything.

Giving SRS and Mochi.cards another shot, and I again fall into the same trap of giving in to the programmer in me and trying to automate flashcard creation by using these abstract templates with too many rules, supplemented by automatically generated fields. Yeah, it's not gonna work...

For those of you who have been wondering if and when the videos of Svelte Summit 2025 Barcelona will be freely available, we just published a blog post about it: svelte.dev/blog/svelte-...

I once also tried disabling adblock for a few weeks just to see the real web. This sort of experience really radicalizes you, makes you hate it all, and leaves you thinking how we ended up with such an awful mess.

Wrote a blog post about "no-engine gamedev" -- About creating video games without a big game engine, while also being productive and having fun! zylinski.se/posts/no-eng...

Trying FFVII remake again and I feel like the worst ignorant ever. I enjoy the story and want to know what happens next but I can’t bring myself to enjoy the repetitive gameplay. Like, can you just let me climb this ladder without having to fight the same dirt rat for the 100th time.

Adolescence is so damn impressive. Though there was a hilarious scene where I couldn’t help but notice the DI in the chase scene running in slow motion making sure he doesn’t catch up too quickly. That took me out a bit.

Wow, Blue Prince really opens up once you get the railgun

I find it funny that you lose one coin every time you enter a chapel room in Blue Prince

1. LLM-generated code tries to run code from online software packages. Which is normal but 2. The packages don’t exist. Which would normally cause an error but 3. Nefarious people have made malware under the package names that LLMs make up most often. So 4. Now the LLM code points to malware.

It's mind-blowing that this view from Vettakollen is accessible within one hour from Oslo city center. #Norway #Oslo

The founder of both Twitter and this site, and the new owner of Twitter (X), have decided artists do not deserve the same right to make a living as people who make physical goods.

A temporary memorial to Polish victims of WWII will be unveiled in Berlin next month while work on a permanent one continues. "In Germany, too little is known about the scale of the crimes committed by Germans against millions of Poles," says the German culture minister.

even though the actors did a great job, the entire third season of The White Lotus was painfully slow and its story so bland and pointless

The presence of AI in Notepad has to be one of the saddest, most desperate features in all of software development history.

What I really love about SvelteKit is how much it respects the standard web platform and doesn’t introduce new, obscure concepts. The abstractions it provides seem like an almost natural conclusion of what a thin, useful, and productive framework should look like given the current state of the web.

Finally got to play Red Dead Redemption 1 for the first time ever. I really hope its story is going to hold up to my expectations, otherwise it’ll be such a drag. Especially after putting so many hours into RDR2 which seemed to improve on every aspect of the first game gameplay-wise. 🎮
