A friend of mine once called Buckminster Fuller "the Einstein of Physics"

"We have no idea who decides what gets printed in our paper. We value your trust!"

Another collection of recent mini-sketches made as formal exploration (and to have fun). raul-gil.com

Wow, Art History has less unemployment than Finance! The humanities are back! Now let me take a big sip of coffee and check on the commercial artists...

Get ready for a shake up in illustration licensing. Armadillo is coming!

When I find the time I'm going to write a long essay about why Hollywood should end their weird obsession with hyperrealism and embrace their coming YouTube-ification

Hi! Nice to e-meet you Alex. Wish it were under better circumstances. Anyhow let’s address your points! Sorry, this is gonna be a long one ☠️ So for those of you who hate reading this shit in a thread, here’s a google doc: docs.google.com/document/d/1... Otherwise follow the conversation below:

One of my most on-brand childhood stories might be the time I liberated all the beetles from the beetle trap (o´・_・)っ 🪲🪲🪲

I'm caught up in The Rehearsal, who wants to talk about it?? Incidentally, I've been to trivia at the Alligator Lounge, and I knew the pizza was ready way too fast in their simulation

Did you know Victor Hugo is the reason artist rights are protected around the world?

I've tried different fidget toys over the years, but nothing makes my fingers happier than this weird little creature I bought at the Corning Museum of Glass

I'm so excited about Armadillo, I'll even get in front of a camera to talk about it :)

Some editorial work from recent years. Hoping to do more editorial in the upcoming months

I've been obsessed with this season's Kleenex designs. Looks like the studio is Design B&B (designbandb.com/project/klee...), but kudos to whoever specifically illustrated the patterns!

When licensing art, the scope depends on what both parties agree to. Here’s a quick guide for thinking about usage rights.

Hi #PortfolioDay! I'm Michele, a freelance vector illustrator in New York. Since 2010, I've worked across tech, publishing, healthcare, education, public outreach, and more. I'm always looking for a fresh puzzle to solve! 🎨 michelerosenthal.com

I really did not like this season of White Lotus. Stories that went nowhere and meant nothing, rich characters that felt more real and complex than the staff, weirdly coded transphobia, sex workers as background color, Thailand as an exotic backdrop. But thank god for Parker Posey!

My favorite character is the smitten artist who paints Dorian's portrait. He panics and gives it to Dorian to hide, worried he made the painting TOO beautiful and anyone who sees it will know he's gay. But as soon as his crush fades, he decides it's just a painting and tries to get it back. 😆

In the opening to Dorian Gray, Oscar Wilde writes: "The artist is the creator of beautiful things. To reveal art and conceal the artist is art's aim." And it's so funny the way he draws attention to himself before adding, "but pay me no attention." Classic Wilde.

I have some new prints up on my Inprnt and it's a free shipping Friday today: www.inprnt.com/gallery/big....

Bambi but the forest fire scene

A promotional postcard from 2016 that didn't get much attention, probably because I was trying too hard to be clever ┐(シ)┌
