It's a corvid day today. We are surrounded by them. There's the Jackdaws who live in the owl box, the village rookery, the ravens who endlessly fly above and the Jays who plant our land with acorns, providing the trees of tomorrow. ❤️Beautiful, intelligent birds.

A Lesser Fiery Copper seen in Cyprus in June. Occurs in Southern and Eastern Europe, so don't expect to see one in the UK. Scientific name Lycaena thersamon.
