The issue all these men have is that basically they were top of their class, probably bullied for being a bit odd, and think this gives them Super Skillz and Knowledge unobtainable by nearly anyone else.

Hope everyone in the UK remembers what Elon Musk is doing to the US government the next time Domminic Cummings writes a 30,000 word blog post on his plan to replace all the "NPCs" in Whitehall with 19 year old Nazi superforecasters.

And I would argue not just in the US. Those of us in other countries should see the risk posed, and make sure we are doing the work where we are now.

Exactly what is needed.. a £24 balm for the vulva to hydrate it.

Am I the only person who thinks Jordan Peterson always comes across like a mildly stoned overconfident 1st year philosophy student?

This is the level of shit posting that is needed. Wind Musk up... don't treat him in a civil fashion.

We have, finally, stopped calling it Twitter in our house. It's now called "Fasc-Town"

An evening re-watching Anthony Bourdain's "Parts Unknown", trying to dodge the episodes where truly depressing things have happened in the decade or so since he filmed.

Keep misreading this as plastic parrot...

Utterly deplorable. Full scale propaganda at this point, straight into the minds, eyes and homes of millions.

Elon’s busy schedule today is claiming astronauts were left in the ISS for political reasons, getting corrected by an ISS astronaut, throwing a fit where he calls the astronaut a slur, then complaining that we should deorbit the ISS

@davidallengreen.bsky.social I find it curious. Zelenksy does not seem to me be a man who can be bribed or threatened. God knows why, he would have had every right to given how he came into the role... and I don't quite see how other leaders are not seeing that.

It's an odd feeling - a bit like this time five years ago, when it was clear Covid was coming but nobody had really processed what it would mean Also the days after 9/11; and the run up to the EU referendum and the weird weekend after

Oh, the US wants a King again? I have a great candidate

*extremely ‘I write editorial comment for the FT’ voice*. Completely agree with this and also feel like it’s in part a manifestation of how UK has turned inwards. Even much of the political class seems unaware of how important and significant all this is for UK prosperity and security.

Turns out I chose the wrong time to long on to social. For my own mental health I think I shall log back off and ignore all news for the evening.
