How many recruiters does it take to have a bad take on the Pope’s hiring? One to start it, and hundreds to repost it with inspirational hashtags.

A surprising amount of game trends start with a few leads in a clan playing the same obscure title. Next thing you know, everyone’s building a big-budgeted version of it.

Quality thread, probably understandable even if you don't speak French.

Oh yeah nice one kid hook that hope for humanity right into my veins

Yep, that's my morning too. Damn people!

The problem with expedition 33 is that everyone uses it to confirm their own bias without even doing a google search. This has 60+ repost and nobody tried to ask "who mentored and trained?".

Probably my favorite YouTube video of all time. 90 seconds of inspiration to last a lifetime youtu.be/E1oZhEIrer4?...

I'm an Australian indie game dev. That means I'm a day ahead and three months behind!

Last night I was asked to reshare a talk I did back in 2017, which didn't get filmed the many times I gave it. Let's do it as a thread. I've not done an informational thread on here before, interested to see how folks like it. (forgive obvious stuff, it was ever so slightly fresher 8 years ago)

One of my coworkers was trans. It was the first time I had encountered a trans person. She became a friend, the first subscriber to my newsletter about adult games, and unfortunately succumbed to the effects of depression three years ago

My son works for this company here in the U.K. It was playing the video game ‘Deus Ex’ that set him on the path to becoming a Biomechanical Engineer. Sometimes, it’s nice to highlight the good things that video games can do. And also remind myself just how proud of him I am.

Devolver Digital shared some lifetime revenue figures for several of its franchises. Cult of the Lamb has been the most succesful, with revenue exceeding $90M. Astroneer revenue tops $80M, while Stronghold sales brought in over $50M. Serious Sam made over $45M across 11 titles.

On the anniversary of the sinking of the Titanic, we thought we'd answer a question that's often asked, "If they raised the Mary Rose, why not raise the Titanic?" Allow our scaled diagram to explain...

I think this deserves a bit more attention, this is really my experience on LinkedIn in the last year: medium.com/my-unpopular...
