Red cabbage coming along very nicely down at the allotment. We went down for 1/2 hour yesterday which ended up being 2 hrs. Came away with armfuls of produce! Redcurrants, blackcurrants, beetroot, rhubarb, raspberries, kale, swiss chard, lettuce. The Good Life - thinking of changing my name to Tom

some young teasels playing out in the sunshine; beautifully soft & green without a care in the world.

one from a walk in the Lakes earlier today.....no big vistas, just a beautifully textured old fence with rusty post and some vibrant plant life.

Empty - one of the many channels on the marsh at Jenny Brown's Point, Silverdale. Not a place for white trainers!

My good friend Matt helps coordinate the RPS Landscape Group exhibition and it’s visiting Nottingham. It will be installed in West Bridgford 2nd-18th August. All details in the flyer below, looks like to will be an excellent exhibition.

Just a repost for #ShareMondays2025

An old one from our visit to Santorini. An abstract minimalist image "The Passageway". You might need to click on it and look at o see it.

Emerging crocosmia

Clematis in our back garden with some light dappled shade. #bloomscrolling

A natural simplicity & beauty. Pure, clean & seemingly untouched by human hand. Just to be on the safe side it's washed twice a day. Baleshare #NorthUist

Humphrey Head (Morecambe Bay) from the huge, vast open spaces of the empty bay.....amazing how it will be compeltley submerged again shortly. No quicksand encontered today in my walk back from the far end of the hill. #MorecambeBay

As I wander around the countryside, inevitably I'm going through farmyards & there's always lots of old tyres. I know they come in very useful for throwing on top of sileage bays etc, but they also make fascinating photos.....so here's one from a close to home to kick off a new series. #oldtyres

"a yound man's game"! Got back yesterday to the very loud sound of lots of sheep bleating on the farm across the road. It was shearing time so I grabbed the camera and fired off a few shots. My back was starting to ache holding the camera......imaging doing this 5 or 6 days a week!!

Oi......watchulukinat!!

First ever pickings from the allotment earlier today!! It works! A Cos lettuce, some Swiss Chard and a bit of Cavolo Nero; happy as 'owt! #harvest

Vibrant grasses in a small drainage ditch; gently moving with the flow of water. #mundanebeauty

"Jog On" A short stretch of the local canal, looking great now that the spring and summer growth has taken back control. Lots of wildlife and a sunday jogger.

More beauty from Rob; this time words as well. This will be an amazing body of work when its published. A real labour of love!

Nearly a door.....old farm building at Silverdale #ShareMondays2025

ancient, weathered, well used and still put to good use. Cretan monastery again.

One from a trip to Crete a few years ago. A monastery in the hills and a beautiful old tree.

a momentary burst of light as we walked back along Loch Coulin #Torridon
