Jimmy carter and Rosalynne were I believe the first couple to walk to their presidential inauguration. He walked the country and he walked the world. America is a sentimental country, most of it hyperbole and hypocrisy. J.C. lived in good faith between saying and doing. A virtue almost extinct now.
