Went outside tonight for a half hour and took some photos of the Moon and Jupiter, then went inside and spent an hour trying to make something out of them. I'm pretty happy with the results, especially with the photo of Jupiter. It's neat to get shots like this with a scope the size of a few books.

I just remembered that I wanted to blame... uh, I mean, thank @comraderobot.bsky.social for posting all of the neat astrophotography stuff. I put a Seestar S50 on my Christmas list which isn't quite the same as his Vespera but it was at a price point that might actually show up. It did. It's fun.

I didn’t post about it here previously, but for Christmas last year I 3D printed a large-scale LEGO wreath for our front door. Since it’s LEGO (sorta) the parts are modular and can be changed for different holidays or seasons.

The cherries are starting to look scarce again here in Florida, so it's time to make my yearly batch of Luxardo Maraschino Cherries to enjoy in various cocktails for the rest of the year. Given how 2025 is going so far, I should probably be making two or three batches, to be honest.
