Car Inspections? Are they necessary or just an easy scam for unscrupulous auto mechanics and a nanny state requirement? Some states, not required. But have an accident or breakdown on the side of a highway, you may see serious fines for not taking care of your autos.

Fascism....blah blah... It's called no rule of law that I was brought up on for my 62 years as a born and raised US citizen. It's morals and ethics, the law part was the part that made people actually do the right thing. Don't have that, we don't have much of any democracy or Republic now.
