Still 68,000 premises without power over a week on from Storm Éowyn with a number of foreign teams on the ground supporting local ESB Networks teams. They are working flat out but it seems clear they need more help and those without power for a week need more assistance.

Govt politicians keep throwing out ESB & weather stats about #StormÉowyn as if to impress us: We *know* how bad the storm was; we lived through it, and its aftermath. The ESB is doing its job of looking after the powerlines. The Govt did *not* do its job of looking after the people.

Still no power, heat or phone signal in #Connemara. Day 6 and not a single visit from a TD to be found. The Farmers Union have done a ton to clear the roads of fallen trees, but we are not projected to get electricity back until the 4th. A lot of elderly and isolated people out here. Unacceptable.
