A judge can tell a General how to conuct a military operation if what they are doing is illegal. (Torture) A Judge can tell the Attorney General how to use their discretion as a prosecutor! (Not prosecuting sitting presidents) The Judicial Branch is Constitutionally designed as a check on them!
