Me, aged 4. With my mum, brothers and sister.

When I "stole" some silence from John Cage in 2001 and they tried to sue me, they didn't check. I had registered the pseudonym "Clint Cage" with PRS. When it said Batt/Cage co-wrote the silence, they thought it meant John Cage, but it was me (Clint). I co-wrote it with myself. 😏

All dogs should be taught to play at least one woodwind piece.

OK, I think it's sorted. I've set the "premiere" of the SHORT AND TALL version of DIARY OF A SYMPHONY (Short = 3 mins but tall = phone shaped) for 18:45pm (in a few minutes' time. Here's the link. youtube.com/shorts/rCsdv...

Latest 7 min episode of me starting my symphony. youtube.com/watch?v=YzYs... (oh and yep the piano sounds clanky but the orchestra will sound totally different!)

All this trouble with DAMN YANKEES reminded me of my recently re-released rare track, WOMBLING USA. 🤠 Maybe I should do some newer, contemporarily relevant lyrics to suck all the joy out of it... 😱 www.youtube.com/watch?v=CCpk...

A blast from the past, - but a blast nevertheless!

A sort (3 minute) squizz at me starting my 9th Symphony. www.youtube.com/watch?v=CXCj...

A blast from the past, - but a blast nevertheless!

Happy Record Store Day today! We have a special GOLDEN VINYL album out, specially for today!!! Limited edition (1000 only). Hope you like it! #RecordStoreDay2025 🥳

I’m not opening any stories or posts that mention the word “tariff” today. Phew, I feel better already.

DIARY OF A SYMPHONY - Episode 2 - Thanks for your encouragement. I ran a poll on Twitter asking "Too poncey for words?" or "No, keep doing it" and thankfully only 3% said "too poncey" and 97% "keep going". So here's ep 2. Hope ya like it: www.youtube.com/watch?v=UNuP...

Yesterday I posted a Youtube link to my process of prepping a score for a symphony, with the idea of doing a regular diary as I create it. But I then felt "this is a bit "Look how clever I am!" so I took the tweet down. Should I keep going or is it too poncey for words? Be brutal...

An impromptu performance by our guest, legendary Carpenters songwriter JOHN BETTIS tonight (Friday) at the Society Of Distinguished Songwriters. 🎶

Just been reminded that it's NATIONAL FILM SCORE DAY today - so here's the trailer for CARAVANS (1978) - with my score. tinyurl.com/teyssntc (I've never seen the trailer before)!!! The film was a flop but luckily the music was a best-selling album, internationally.

When we used pencil! A page of my score for Bill Wyman's movie "Digital Dreams". A spaghetti western dream scene. Timings above. Note "cut to JAMES COBURN'S BOOTS" (bar 27) - shot of Bill at 74.32 secs (bar 29). Strings below. Oboe and muted trumpet tune. Them were't days! 1983.

Get extra pintas or you’ll be without…

Thanks for posting this. I wrote the theme for the film "Watership Down" but they chose a different composer (Angela Morley) for the main score, just using my song "Bright Eyes". Years later I got to use this, my own intended "film theme" - when I scored the ITV TV series.

I asked the chef at our local Indian restaurant for the recipe for his fantastic bread. He said he couldn’t, - he had signed a naan disclosure agreement.

ON SPOTIFY and Audible - the AUDIO BOOK of my memoir, “The Closest Thing To Crazy: My Life of Musical Adventures” but also on Spotify a playlist of the songs mentioned in the order they occur in the book! ⁦@bonnierbooks_uk @Republic_Media
