Another close loss. 2-1. Corbin and Skubal were both great. Texas put one run on the board. I have to wonder Blaine Crim tried bunting on the 0-0 count in the 6th. Didn’t try again the rest of the at-bat. If he gets bunt down and moves runners over Texas may have tied the game.

If Skubal wants to get thrown out while throwing a perfect game then go for it. I don’t think the Rangers’ hitters would mind.

Leiter was not great today and in some ways was his own worst enemy. The walks early, balk, and hit batter cost him pitches and two runs. I do give him credit for being able to right the ship and getting through 1 out in the 6th and only give up one more run.

The Rangers’ game was practically decided by one at-bat. Garcia vs Bregman with first base open and 2 outs. Bregman got the 2-run single and that was the difference. Bregman came through and Langford did not in his run scoring opportunities.

Give Bret Boone a raise. Seriously though. Texas is just playing better situational baseball tonight and they are making better contact and not popping so many balls up. Good to see Evan Carter back and get his first bit.

I can get behind this hire. I am a little wary of the lack of coaching experience. He was a good hitter, played a lot of ball, and comes from a family of coaches. His dad Bob was a manager for the Reds and his brother Aaron is the longtime manager of the Yankees. We will see if this works out.

So I guess Texas can only score runs when deGrom is pitching. 21 runs of support for deGrom in his last two starts. Take out those two games and Texas has only scored 21 runs since April 20th.

I swear Julio Rodriguez has been outstanding in CF tonight. He has taken away base hits from both Josh Smith and Corey Seager. The Seager line drive in the 8th probably scores Langford from first if it get past him. Rangers just cannot buy any luck right now.

Texas loses 13-1 but Josh Smith breaks the home run drought with a solo shot with 2 outs in the 9th. Langford followed with a well hit line drive. At least they won’t carry that drought into another game. That is about the only positive thing from tonight. 16-17 record now.

This is very bad tonight. I wouldn’t be surprised to hear about a players-only meeting after this game. The body language has been awful tonight especially since the solo home run that gave Seattle a 1-0 lead. Who is going to be the vocal leader who is rallying the team together?

Leiter was good for 4 innings. Can’t believe Bochy let Leiter face Raleigh for a third time. Managerial malpractice especially after the Mariners had loaded the bases and Raleigh already had a home run off Leiter. Not a shock when he hit a grand slam there.

Blaine Crim goes 1-2-3 and back to the dugout after a strikeout. If you had Crim breaking HR drought you can’t collect your winnings yet. Have to wait till his next at bat. Texas still with no hits after the third. #Allfortx

Not good for the Rangers when the team play by play is hitting the offense with zingers. He said to end the top of the second “What do you know the Rangers’ starter is doing his job!” Need the offense to step up tonight and do their job. #AllforTX

Had to be done. Burger has really been struggling. I know we don’t think of this but he is likely dealing with a lot off the field with a newborn. I hope this will allow him to reset and come back better. Texas will need him if they are going to win big this year.

This feels like rock bottom for the Texas Rangers. It has been getting bad, but scoring 15 runs on Tuesday night and then getting outscored 10-1 over the next two games and losing 3 of 4 to the A's is terrible. The frustration was even visible on Bochy's face today. Back .500 at 16-16 after 32 games

Good offensive numbers for Texas tonight: 9 base hits, 3 walks, 2 hits from both Garcia and Jung, and got the leadoff batter on base in 5 of 9 innings Bad offensive numbers, almost everything else. 9 strikeouts, 4 by Burger 11 LOB 1-11 RISP Failed to score 3 times after first two batters reach.

I don’t know why I force myself to watch these games every night. 3 times Texas got the first two runners on base 4 times and only once has it led to a run being scored. Great opportunities each time and just a failure to come through each time.

Bases loaded opportunity again leads to 0 runs scored. Garcia strikeout, Tavares infield pop up, and Langford strike out to end the inning. Feels like Langford the last 3 games is getting underneath everything and popping straight up rather than driving the ball. Still 1-1 going to 7.

Semien and Jung back to back singles knocks Severino out of the game. Severino missed his spot with two strikes on Semien leading to the single. Texas has an opportunity here to go ahead if they can execute. Get the runners over and in.

Severino had been outstanding tonight at hitting that corner down and away from right handed hitters. Just got Burger on that pitch and got Langford earlier in the game on a similar pitch.

Texas did follow up a long and scoreless 3rd inning by getting 3 singles and scoring a run on a Garcia RBI single. El Bombi looks to be making better swing decisions tonight. He is more under control and it is leading to base hits. This is the good version of Adolis Garcia.

The Rangers did everything right in the third inning. Led off the inning with two singles, bunted the runners over, took a walk, worked counts, and yet couldn’t get a run across the plate. They did drive up Severino’s pitch count. Maybe that shows results in the middle innings.

15-2 in their favor is the kind of game the Rangers needed. Hopefully they can now relax and just play ball going forward. #AllforTX

Bases loaded doubles by Garcia and Jung in the same inning. 7 runs scored and 12 overall. Good numbers across the board. The talent has been there all season. Glad to see it actually showing up. Now Dunning can hopefully close it out and give the bullpen a night off. #AllforTX

I would say Tavares heard loud and clear what Chris Young told the media today. 2 hits on Sunday and 3 hits tonight. As I was typing this he bobbles a ball leading to an extra base from the hitter, but he gets lucky on the review as the runner came off the base. #AllforTX

That was a great AB by Josh Jung. Took a lot of close pitches, worked the count full, and came through with an RBI single. Offense is showing some life tonight. 4 runs for this offense feels like 10 runs.

I like that Texas is not swinging at everything and is taking walks. A lot better approach tonight. Feels like a big inning could come tonight. That and deGrom looks great so far through 3 innings. #AllforTX

You can’t get me to believe that the Rangers are not pressing right now. That Jung at-bat is one example. Lopez had walked 3 batters and Jung saw one strike the entire at-bat and ended up striking out on a pitch well below the strike zone to end the inning with 0 runs scored. #AllforTX

Watching the Rangers postgame. Funny that Matt Hicks tried to talk about how every game seems to be the same. Good starting pitching, great bullpen, and a terrible offensive performance. Jared Sandler immediately changed topics and all of a sudden Hicks’ camera cut out. #AllforTX

Unbelievable. The whole team should be embarrassed about how this game turned out. Little league crap to end the game for sure. Inability to score with a runner on 3rd and 0 outs is what really lost this game. #AllforTX

Garcia and Semien just can’t stop chasing pitches outside the strike zone. It really is holding Texas back today and this season. They are swinging at pitches way out of the zone. That has to change if this offense is going to be productive. #AllforTX

Leadoff triple leads to 0 runs. Garcia swings at 3 pitches out of the zone, Semien chases and then grounds out to lfirst, and Ahmed pops out to end the inning. Have to get that run home and they just can’t.

Well the Rangers are going to need more than 2 runs to win today. Game is tied at 2 like Saturday’s game. #AllforTX

Texas really needed that walk off home run. Hopefully that is the spark that gets this team going and gets Garcia going. Potential for greatness is there with this Rangers’ team just need to figure out how to score runs more consistently. #AllforTX

Just a reminder on this 30th anniversary of April 19th that Timothy McVeigh was a real terrorist who was given due process and a fair trial. Kilmar Abrego Garcia is not a terrorist and yet is rotting away in an El Salvador prison after not being afforded due process.

Rangers lineup I hope to see tomorrow. 2B Semien SS Seager LF Langford RF Garcia 3B Jung 1B Harris DH Pederson C Heim/Higgy CF Tavares It gets Pederson out of the middle of the order and with less pressure while also keeping Harris’ hot bat in the lineup.

deGrom was outstanding but Yamamoto was better. Outstanding pitching duel. Texas had opportunities early. The one that sticks out is Semien and Seager on 2nd and 3rd and Pederson weakly grounds out to end the inning. I hope that Langford resumes hitting 3rd tomorrow. #AllforTX

Armstrong so close to holding LA to 0 runs in the 9th. 0-2 count on Hernandez and gets a single. 0-2 count on Smith and he hits a sac fly. Has to find a way to strike out those guys especially if he is going to pitch in the late innings. #AllforTX

deGrom has pitched outstanding tonight. Capping off his start by going 3-0 on Will Smith and then responds by dotting 3 fastballs on the outside corner for an inning ending strikeout. Texas needs to score two runs here and get deGrom the win tonight. #AllforTX

I just don’t get why Bochy continues to hit Pederson behind Seager. Joc has been the ultimate rally killer this season. Hopefully Langford goes back to hitting there when he gets back tomorrow. #AllforTX

Rocker pitches great and gets his first win, Seager continues his hot hitting, and the Texas wins 5-3 to sweep the Angels. 12-7 now heading into the series against the Dodgers. They are playing with confidence after the 1-5 road trip and now get to measure themselves against the best in baseball.

Outstanding start by Rocker tonight. I am going to guess he is done. 7 innings, 3 runs could have been just one, and 8 strikeouts. He had been awesome. Best he has looked all season and best he has looked since his debut start in Seattle. Rotation for Texas is clicking right now. #AllforTX

I have really liked how Corey Seager has been playing on defense. He has definitely put in the work over the offseason with the glove. A long way to go but if he can stay healthy and playing well he could be up for the Gold Glove at short this season. #AllforTX

Another low scoring game for Texas and another win. Good outing from Corbin, great night from Seager and Burger, and a solid outing from the bullpen. All of that adds up to a 3-1 win and an 11-7 record. #AllforTX

A good start so far by Patrick Corbin. He has stayed away from hard contact and kept the Angels guessing. I don’t expect 5 scoreless from him every time out. If he can give Texas quality innings on a regular basis that would be outstanding. #AllforTX

Threaten Tarrifs, crash stock market, withdraw threat, boost market rinse and repeat. He will do this again in 90 days. So stupid and makes the US look foolish.

What a comeback by Houston. Just unreal. Still can’t believe it. Two great Final Four games. Can’t wait till Monday night.

The Texas Rangers have now won the first 3 series of the year. Good not great deGrom performance. Good not great offense. A great performance from the bullpen. That all adds up to a 4th straight win as well. Texas now 7-2 with Rocker going on Sunday afternoon. Let’s go!!! #AllforTX
