All in a day's work! Chopped down this ENORMOUS clump of invasive ginger, revealing a ginger root 8ft long, 4ft across! Also took out a huge ticket of himalayan raspberries, and planted 2 native milo trees in their place! #PlantNatives

The Mucuna Sloanei sea beans I've been looking after have finally started to produce seeds! I harvested a few today, some dry, some green. Need to see if green-picked seeds become viable after being dried. Some beetle damage on the fully dry ones. #PlantNatives

Very sad to learn that my first music teacher has gone full red hat cult. Very unexpected, as they're a POC. They inspired me to get into funk bass. They gave me my first stage concert opportunity. I still have the bass guitar I bought from them. I looked up to them. Now what? *sigh*

I can't believe I was once on a waiting list to get a Model 3. Original reasons we didn't get one: red turn signals (less safe than amber), uncertainty of charging after moving into a rental. New reasons: Musk is an oligarch, and now Musk is an open Nazi. I am so glad we put that decision off.

Sometimes I think our black kitten Le‘a is still feral. She very much does not like being held. Then she surprises me with a few minutes of snuggle time. (14-year old boi Pucas on the other side of my arm is the snuggliest snuggler that ever snuggled.)
