Insightful conversation among @nimperatori.bsky.social @mollieoreilly.bsky.social and @dominicpreziosi.bsky.social O'reilly's point about Leo's native US knowledge and language skills will make obfuscating his message and critiques much harder is really helpful.

This: “My ‘intrusive’ thoughts about the climate crisis were not distortions; they were real,” she writes. Eco anxiety is not, for Mah, an individualised pathology but a collective, social phenomenon. www.theguardian.com/environment/...

Do I have a puppy? Why do you ask?

My "above 430 again?!?" tastes of epistemic denial.

Real Pope Leo XIV:

So the "Bayesian" sank because its hugely overextended superyacht mast met an extreme wind event in an ever more chaotic climate that its designers didn't imagine. Hmm.

Annual reminder that Aragorn was crowned on May 1 so the workers of Middle-earth would have the day off.

I just received word that theologian David Tracy passed away last night. Please keep him and his family in your prayers.

Pope Francis wasn’t a “liberal.” His papacy can’t be understood with the liberal/conservative frame. He was pastoral in the model of a Jesuit spiritual director. The point of Christianity is a personal encounter with God in Jesus.

RIP, beloved Pope Francis. "... a sinner whom the Lord...looked upon.” Miserando atque Eligendo ... Mercied and Chosen.
