#CatChatBookClub . This months selection from real world club. A good read based round the choices women/girls make .Coming of age, parenting , relationships etc. The characters were a bit like caricatures but needed that to develop the contradictions I think

#CatChatBookClub. Another classic “who done it “based in imperial china. I would recommend reading the explanation of the Magistrate system at the back first. A interesting insight into something I knew nothing about .

#CatChatBookClub #Hedgwatch . Not letting staff all fun. Dis bees my selection . Gooder book for British flappies for us cates who watching dem burds. Not seeing dat one wid bigger beak just yet - morgan

#catchatbookclub We read “Women Talking” by Miriam Toews. We loved it but found it unbelievable that the events the book is based on actually were in the courts on Bolivia in 2008-2009. It’s a serious discussion of patriarchy. Mum wonders how a male reader would react to it.

2 super book reviews from @biscoitothekitty.bsky.social Maybe you’ll choose them for your March #catchatbookclub reads? 😺📕

Another super recommended read. Many thanks @ashersmom.bsky.social 😺📕 #catchatbookclub

Thank you so much @swansea5.bsky.social for these super book recommendations for #catchatbookclub 😺 📚

Hope you’ve all had a lovely day! Night night dear pals 😺 #Hedgewatch

📣 Time to meow about our next #CatChatBookClub theme. In March we celebrate International Women’s Day #IWD2025 so let’s read a book by a FEMALE AUTHOR. 2025 marks the 250th anniversary of Jane Austen’s birth so you might choose to read one of hers 📚 #JaneAusten250 (1 of 3 Cont)

Also this month, Mum read “The Wake Up Call” (Beth O’Leary). She didn’t find it at #CatChatBookClub but thought that others who fancy an easy chic-lit-type read sometime might enjoy this. It would be a good holiday read. Mum has enjoyed other books by this author esp The Switch

This month, Mum read “We Solve Murders” by Richard Osman which she found at #CatChatBookClub thanks to recommendations from lots of pals😺 She really enjoyed it, though perhaps not quite as much as Thursday Murder Club whose characters feel like old friends! Recommended though!

Mum says that one of the joys of #CatChatBookClub (especially since we adopted our monthly THEMES in 2020) is the chance to discover new books & authors recommended by others. She’s found LOADS of great reads, over the last few years. Here are just some of her favourites… 😺 📚

📣 A number of our #CatChatBookClub readers have expressed their sorrow over the recent passing of crime writer Denzil Meyrick whose books they very much enjoyed. As our readers have suggested, let us raise a wee dram in his memory….😿📚🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🥃 To Denzil ❤️ 📚

Welcome to February #CatChatBookClub 😺📚 This month, some of us have been reading books recommended right here at #CatChatBookClub But we look forward to ALL book-chat & hearing about everyone’s chosen reads, regardless of theme! Just search 🔍 & use club hashtag to join in!

Actually it’s this book… Thank you @swansea5.bsky.social 😺📕 #Catchatbookclub

This sounds like a super read! 😺📕 With thanks to @swansea5.bsky.social for telling us about it. We’re sure that lots of #CatChatBookClub readers will enjoy it!

📣 Pals, can you believe it’s almost time for our monthly book-chat, again? 🙀😺 📚 We look forward to hearing about the books that you have found at #CatChatBookClub OR ANYWHERE at our next tweetup, this Sunday 23 February 2025 📚😺 It’s at 8pm UK time. All welcome ❤️ Just use the club hashtag.

Okay…so you’re back from your little weekend away, Mum. But we need to have a word 😾 There must never be a repeat of this kind of shenanigans…NEVER! Do I make myself clear?

Paw waves everyone! 🐾 Mum went on a little #Hedgewatch of her own, recently & was delighted to see this new topper 🧶 on our local postbox 📮 😺 Isn’t it pawsome? The anonymous creator has done another supurrb job of putting a smile on everyone’s faces!

Come on mum… MOVE YOURSELF! I’m ready for my supper! #friyay
