I am a retail investor in the stock market and I am thinking of getting out. It occurs to me that it does not matter if I think a public company might be successful, it matters if DJT likes the company or not which seems to depend on how much of a bribe they pay him not to destroy them.

DEI is not "vs" merit. DEI as an attempt to RESTORE merit. An antiquated old boys network is the opposite of merit. Outreach to the most talented people regardless of race or gender is restoring a meritocracy.

Just noticed that Michelle Obama is not attending the inauguration. God love her. While I understand the need for ex-presidents to be there I totally get that she does not want to be in the presence of a man who was so insulting to her husband and whose followers repeatedly threatened her family.
