My latest for @cafedotcom.bsky.social on the @americanbar.org lawsuit to stop the pressure campaign against lawyers and why it matter. mailchi.mp/cafe/cafe-in...

Friends from DOJ + friends with DOJ fam/friends - pls make sure you follow/share about @justiceconnection.bsky.social. Justice Connection shares DOJ news and has free resources for DOJ folks who recently left the Department or who remain courageously but may still need assistance. Major resource!

The federal courts have held the line once again - for now. My latest for @contrariannews.org open.substack.com/pub/contrari...

BREAKING: AG Bondi we arent gonna let you get away with abusing & politicizing the rule of law! Our @democracydefendersaction.org bar complaint with @ldadorg.bsky.social & an all-star crew of ethics experts👇 www.miamiherald.com/news/politic...

From @sheilakatz.bsky.social: Among many groups that have fought to secure and reclaim civil rights, voting rights and reproductive rights, we have seen antisemitism dismissed as not bad enough to matter, our grief met with cynicism, our safety treated as optional. www.nytimes.com/2025/06/03/o...

Speak up about the targeted attacks on Jews in America and elsewhere. Whatever your politics, beliefs about the Israeli government - nothing justifies violent attacks against civilians. If you’re not speaking out, you’re helping to normalize it.

Jesus fucking Christ. www.cnn.com/2025/06/01/u...

We must call today's attack on members of the Jewish community in Boulder, Colorado exactly what it is: an act of terror. This was a targeted attack at people who were marching peacefully to raise awareness of those still held hostage after Hamas' attack on October 7th. (1/3)

Failing to identify this execution as a targeted, antisemitic act allows the void to be filled by dangerous claims of justified “political action.” @mimirocah1.bsky.social and @nataliapetrzela.bsky.social www.msnbc.com/opinion/msnb...

A critically important read by @mimirocah1.bsky.social and @nataliapetrzela.bsky.social: www.msnbc.com/opinion/msnb... via @msnbc

Thank you @noahshachtman.bsky.social with @nataliapetrzela.bsky.social

With @mimirocah1.bsky.social, I wrote about the importance of calling the murders at the Capitol Jewish Musuem what they are -- and the dominant media framing is not helping. www.msnbc.com/opinion/msnb...

For those who have been warning about rising antisemitic rhetoric and beliefs manifesting into violence, this attack is our worst nightmare. On this dark day, we renew our resolve and commitment to a future where all people, regardless of faith or background, can live free from violence and hatred.

Something different this week. My latest for @contrariannews.org on why “it’s just domestic violence” defense doesn’t work for sex trafficking & what we can learn about sextortion from the Combs trial. open.substack.com/pub/contrari...

The headlines focus on celebrity and spectacle, but the Diddy trial reveals something deeper: how coercion, abuse, and control can thrive in intimate relationships. @mimirocah1.bsky.social unpacks how our justice system is grappling with prosecuting that harm.

Wall Street Journal Editorial Board comes out swinging against the highly dangerous nominee for US Attorney for DC, Ed Martin: "The best outcome would be for Mr. Trump to withdraw Mr. Martin." And in support of Senator Thom Tillis (R-#NorthCarolina)

open.substack.com/pub/contrari...

If you were looking to combat transnational crime, especially drug cartels, this is the exact office you would NOT shut down. This move by Trump's DOJ undermines any argument they want to prosecute international cartels, human traffickers, and gang members such as MS-13.

This makes absolutely no sense. OCDTEF is critical in fighting transnational crime, cartels and other dangerous organizations. I hope every reporter presses them on why and what is replacing it.

Fun subbing in for the great @asharangappa.bsky.social with @renatomariotti.bsky.social for their podcast this week. podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/i...

NEW: Sources says several federal prosecutors have resigned after Trump's new U.S. Atty in Los Angeles offered a misdemeanor plea deal to a sheriff's deputy -- after a jury had already convicted him of a felony: www.latimes.com/california/s...

1/ People sometimes need a jarring reminder of how far down the path Trump administration is going toward authoritarian assertions of power A sign: John Yoo, architect of torture memos and maximal presidential powers, sharply rebukes President Trump and DOJ actions on 4 grounds @npr.org interview

So nice to be live in person with these two!

Today is National Law Day & lawyers & judges across the country are coming together to reaffirm our oath to the Constitution & the rule of law. Our oath matters more than ever. Let’s stand together. www.americanbar.org/groups/publi...

Today, May 1, is Law Day. For D.C.Bar members, one small but important way to take a stand in support of the rule of law is to support Diane Seltzer for D.C. Bar President. We must defeat her opponent Brad Bondi, brother of the current U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi. Please vote here: www.dcbar.org

Ed Martin has targeted Trump critics, politicized prosecutions, and called himself “President Trump’s lawyer.” Now he’s up for D.C. U.S. attorney and Senate Republicans won’t even hold a hearing. @mimirocah1.bsky.social explains the stakes

My latest for the @contrariannews.org: “Every senator who votes for Martin will be on the hook for his clearly predictable abuses of federal prosecutorial power and, worse, for the ramifications that will likely follow in the D.C. courts and beyond.” contrarian.substack.com/p/dc-us-atto...

The firing of Biden officials from the Holocaust Museum is unprecedented & reprehensible. Museum Board membership a solemn obligation to education, tolerance & preserving the memory of six million lost. As with everything else, Trump is using it for purposes of political retribution. Unconscionable.

BREAKING: another big win for us against Trump administration illegality! This time a preliminary injunction on behalf of our client LULAC & many others against the president's EO distorting elections Voters should choose the president not vice versa Kudos to cocounsel & all our great team

DOJ canceled the training for law enforcement that helps prevent online child predators from getting at our children. Doesn’t make us safer. Doesn’t make govt more efficient.

Ah yes, the government asking Jews to register as Jewish, in the name of protecting the Jews. No way that could go wrong www.nytimes.com/2025/04/23/n...

BREAKING: we won! A federal judge has enjoined the administration's shut down of Voice of America Another success for the Constitution and for us @sddaction.bsky.social & our many wonderful partners & clients More details to follow--stay tuned!

I continue to be so proud of the integrity of SDNY and DOJ prosecutors who sacrifice jobs they love rather than compromise their ethics for blind loyalty in a DOJ where “obedience supersedes all else, requiring us to abdicate our legal and ethical obligations in favor of directions from Washington.”

🚨🚨 #PrinciplesFirst alert: Three of the SDNY prosecutors on the Eric Adams case resigned today, saying the Justice Department pressured them to admit to wrongdoing. (1/2)
