Beautiful. No notes.

ok so what gets called "gender ideology" is jsut like "be who and how you want" and what gets called "not ideology" is like "follow these specific unwritten rules and perform these forbidden rituals according to the circumstances of your birth"

To be fair, this time round it was inexplicably a live show recording - my idea of hell (it took long enough to let Filip perceive me exercising) but it turns out there is such a thing as a high-knee-run moshpit, the diversity of the human brain is incredible

Why is the frame always "x million people use anti-depressants, we need to lower pharmaceutical use" and much more rarely "x million are struggling and unhappy, how can we help? (This also applies to ADHD and its meds)

It was fun. Less Roman Empire than when I have @ftw.bsky.social on but at least Georgia can't tell us off for this one. Very interesting to talk about her escapades in FoI and the waiting list now longer than Glastonbury. Not to mention @puddleuddle.bsky.social sharing her story as well!

He must be REALLY adamant about his decision

Went on @simon.insanity.tube's Atypical: The Podcast (with @puddleuddle.bsky.social) to talk about @autistica.org.uk's Not A Priority report, Freedom of Information adventures, and the crisis in autism assessment and support. You can listen here: atypicalthepodcast.buzzsprout.com/1962838/epis...

Really pleased to have been part of the team who authored this new article: 'Applied Principles for Inclusive Practice in Neurodevelopmental Research: A Selection and Report of Illustrative Case Studies'. Huge thanks to @cjcrompton.bsky.social & @suereviews.bsky.social for bringing us all together!

We're looking for autistic parents to take part in a study on burnout: durhamuniversity.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_... Please take part/share if you have capacity.

Update: @ftw.bsky.social has just asked for a Sonk-Onk unprompted. VICTORY IS MINE

I am once again asking for a new pronoun somewhere in between "they" and "we", for when your job is to talk about the broader experiences of autistic people but you are also an autistic people

🧵 🗣️ Almost 10,000 people experiencing health inequalities have had their voices heard in national policy making via #HWAlliance activity. Our new report explores the successes and impact of the #HWAlliance in developing inclusive health and care policy. www.nationalvoices.org.uk/publication/...

TBF I have made myself immune to this by simply never shutting up about autism such that there is virtually nothing left to pry

Happy tenth birthday to a real one

I would 100% go and see this thread

The kind of content that I'm here for (whole thread)

Alright I said I’d promote this record so - Manic Pixie Bad Dream, coming 24th Feb. Here are some sneaky bits.

I think a lot about how Dan Smith used to barely be able to bring himself to appear in Bastille videos, and now he's always front and centre like this, and it's genuinely inspirational youtu.be/dDq8TlZgGk0?...

#1000SmallThings for a more inclusive HE (online events/meetings): Clarify the expectations for camera use and how to contribute at the start, and put it in the Chat box. e.g. "cameras on if possible" "use the raise hand button" "just speak if you want to contribute"

40 years on, the old BBC1 COW (Computer Originated World) still looks glorious...

Confession: I actually do think it's possible to be "a bit autistic". To explain why, I need to talk about my obsessions, my compulsions, their disorder, and yet another ill-fitting label I don't quite feel able to claim. New blog below:

Even if you can't donate, this is worth reading to better understand the difficulty of accessing an appropriate wheelchair on the NHS.

I'll be honest, I used to think if you needed a wheelchair you just... sort of... got one. The reality is more "you're stuck until you can cough up £20k". @emilylinka.bsky.social is now 1/3 there and needs to get this out of her own circle, so please share! www.gofundme.com/f/help-linka...

I am obliged to report that yesterday @ftw.bsky.social and I took part in a challenge where we had to use all 26 National Rail Zone 1 stations within six hours. And we managed 25.

Finally got the final quote for my wheelchair and it’s bumped the GoFundMe up from £8k to £20k. I’m devestated - cried a lot, contemplated giving up completely. But friends told me to keep going so if you can share, I would hugely appreciate it #MutualAid #NEISVoid ♿️ #Crowdfunder gofund.me/989e17ca
