Two things: 1) My dad used to use the foil papers in cigarette packages, folded in thirds, as bookmarks. So I think of him every time I use a hold slip this way. 2) Run, do not walk, to read The River has Roots by @amalelmohtar.com, which is at once intimately familiar and exquisitely strange. 💙📚

Just read The River Has Roots by @amalelmohtar.com and immediately wanted to re-read it. The physical book is a complete work of art, from the gorgeous cover illustration to the contrasting textures on the dust jacket to the illustrations and adornments on each page. Poetic prose is 11/10. #booksky
