UVA Police have sent out an alert for the UVA area urging people to shelter in place because they are looking for a suspect. This is after an earlier text alert stating that there's "Fire/Police activity in the area of Alderman Road. Avoid the area."

Got a letter today that my kid has missed 6 school days this school year so far. All excused by me. He was to sick to go to school and he had to attend a funeral out of the country. No I will not go to the doctors office on the first day of sickness to get a written excuse from a doc.

In a technological sense our family is going backwards. My kids have discovered a love for old school radio alarm clocks. They have found radio stations they really enjoy and are discovering the use and frustration of antennas.
