You know what's such a crazy outlier in the modern car industry? The Fiat 500. Some form of this car was production from *2007* until just last year and you'll STILL see early models driving around. I'm sure if I dug deeper there's common issues, but that's such a testament to simple engineering!

I know some people like to rip the piss out of it, but I'm sincerely sad manual gearbox cars are going extinct. I feel so much more comfortable with them vs automatics and it makes even my little hatchback with the equivalent of a field mouse under the bonnet fun to drive.

I've only ever seen a handful of Lynch's work. I've probably spent more time listening to him talk than watching his work. The main thing he always seemed to convey is the importance of taking your work and creative intent seriously, but allowing yourself to find joy in life and the creative process
