This timeline is why I’m so angry that stand alone earth science education keeps getting dropped from curricula for “oh let’s just put some earth science concepts with the other science we teach”. My district did that and teachers did a crap job of teaching it.🧵

I cannot believe the gaslighting Trump and Vance are doing on Ukraine. I’ve been reading comments sections on the WSJ op eds related to it and pleased to see almost all of the conservatives saying WTF. People who are vets and old enough to remember that Russia has been an enemy since the cold war.

Here’s another way to think about it. We import roughly $3.25 trillion in goods every year. Income tax receipts total roughly $2.2 trillion. So we’d need a universal tariff rate of, give or take, 65% to be able to do away w the IRS. But… 1/2
