So far as I can see, criticism of Starmer boils down to a wish that Trump were not President and that UK didn't have to deal with US. We all wish it. It's sadly not so. We're in the same car. He's driving. The aim is to keep him engaged, get him to slow down. The aim is not to crash. That's it. 1/2

Per Dr Atul Gawande, ex USAID: “All malaria supplies protecting 53 million people, mostly children, including bed nets, diagnostics, preventive drugs, and treatments – terminated.” There are no words that sufficiently describe this level of cruelty and sadism.

If all that McDonalds and Ketamine could hurry it up a little bit, we'd be forever grateful.

Portuguese editorial cartoonist Zez Vaz reaches back to Tiananmen Square to call on American defiance.

The irony of the richest man in the world almost single-handedly destroying an agency designed to help the world’s poor, so that the U.S. federal budget has more room for another giant tax cut for the richest man in the world and his pals, should not be lost on anyone. [Cartoon by Mike Luckovich]

Allotments. An old drawing of mine.

Particularly shocking detail here, suggesting reasons why the Mayor and the Culture Secretary might be looking the other way on this. www.newstatesman.com/culture/2025...

One of the Monkees once told me that his hen was a French champion egg-layer. I didn't believe him, and said if it was true I would personally craft him a woven honey making insect. Then I saw Oeuf Ace. Now I'm a Bee Weaver.

The world's richest man - perhaps the richest man who has ever lived - gloating about shutting down aid for the world's poorest people. All while posing as the champion of the common man. The great lie of populism in its most naked and morally putrid form.

My 90 year old grandmother amended her will instructing us that when she passes she wants ouija boards given to all of the guests at her funeral with a card that says, “Let's keep in touch."

Must watch interview. Ed Davey calls for a customs union with the EU to grow the UK economy And Laura Kuenssberg ends up making the case for why the UK should be in a customs union with the EU, without realising it 🤷‍♂️ This is a gold standard interview by @eddavey.libdems.org.uk 👏 Part 1 of 7

This photo hits hard.

Posted yesterday. Prescient.

The smell of the paper hand-towels in the toilets, when wet

YouGov find just 30% of people think we were right to leave the EU. The lowest number yet. Just 10% of 18-24 year olds think it was the right decision.

The people now in charge of the Office of Personnel Management apparently don’t know how to scrub PDF metadata, and have exposed the original authors of the guidance they’re publishing. Two, Noah Peters and James Sherk, have links to the Heritage Foundation and Project 2025.

I am completely unsurprised

Today is INTERNATIONAL LEGO DAY. To celebrate, we have a collection of classic movies recreated with the iconic toy, with the creators too… First up, 2001: A Space Odyssey by Ladondorf. 1/25

ICE is trying to deport Native American people to Mexico. This one from the Mescalero Apache Tribe. That's right. People indigenous to the United States, tribal members. ICE is trying to remove them from the US. This is the second verified incident I've heard about. We were here 1st. #ICE

“I can’t today. I’m watching the series finale of the United States.

Yes, that’s cleared it up

My wife and I and a couple of friends cherish the phrase ‘trouser-related mishaps’ which appeared in a news item about domestic accidents many years ago. Trouser-related mishaps. It’s a three word poem that sums up beautifully the human condition.

Both only want money.
