What's that, you say? A charming children's book about cats that's also an anticapitalist fable? In the public domain???

It’s rare to see the puppet and puppeteer in the same room at the same time

I think the funny part is he’ll still end up a …”hot one” 😎👹🔥

Save us Dolly Parton. You’re our only hope.

I read a book that completely changed how I view things within my field. It’s making me go back and re-read things I felt comfortable with because now it feels like I’ve overlooked a major detail. It’s an exciting time for a dork like me. #readingsky #booksky #academicsky

History is full of “best guesses” based on information provided. Photographs weren’t around until the last 200 years or so. Audio recording about the same. Records like birth certificates weren’t around, and certainly weren’t enforceable, during certain periods. Even then records were wiped to reuse

A Link to the Past. Bought it when I was 9/10 for Super Nintendo. Downloaded it for the Wii, then redownloaded it for Wii U. If you want to call the Nintendo Online subscription I had buying it, I did that for several years to replay that game (among others) #LegendofZelda #nintendo #totk #botw

And another mythicist clogs up my timeline. It only shows me people on the left can be just as confident and wholly wrong as people on the right.

So you’re a mythicist who has never studied the work you’re critical of and don’t know how ancient writing works. Got it. Enjoy your day and the essay you’ll write about me blocking you.

This might be an American thing, but she seems like a miserable sack of shit

The Legend of Zelda is 39 years old as of today! First released in Japan on the Famicom Disk System on February 21, 1986.

I set a low number of books to read this year since I haven’t met my reading goal thr last two years. I’m almost halfway to my goal and we’re not even two months in. I wonder if it’s because I’m being more intentional about it or if it’s that I’m actually choosing books I want to read.

I suddenly have an intense urge for cake. Not euphemistically. I want LITERAL cake

In lighter news good things have been going on. I switched to a new medication and am feeling human again. I’ve lost weight, anxiety isn’t as bad, I’m actively learning something I didn’t think I could learn, and I’m getting lots of time with my daughter. In a world that’s crumbling I’m hanging on

He’s still blaming Biden. He swore he’d turn it around but just continues to play the blame game. Pepperidge Farms remembered, but the customer base forgot.

Tried to screen shot a page from an ebook I borrowed in my library app. Nope. It comes up completely blank when I retrieve the pic. I get it. I just didn’t want to have to write down a bunch of citation info or use a sheet of paper unnecessarily. ☹️

I wanted to read this kinda new book. It’s academic, only in hardcover or expensive digital versions. My library has a copy. Libraries are incredible. #librarysky #booksky

Jesus: however you treat the least among you, so you shall also have done to me. Trump: The poors under me won’t let my rich friend steal the country’s data and keep it, and we’re rehiring the racist. You all have been very unfair and I’m making it illegal to say mean stuff about me

Look at this thread about Philly fans organizing (to a degree) and overwhelming the people in authority [I mean this tongue-in-cheek but it’s still remarkable how this was an unintentional mini-uprising like it is after each Super Bowl]

Which Nintendo character do we have to call on to take care of *that* guy?
