There are some very bad stories going around about the Mahmoud Kahlil case. The hearing today was before an immigration judge — which is located within the Justice Department. They are NOT a "federal judge" in the sense that anyone reading at least one nationwide story saying so thinks of it.

This beautiful piece by @jillmapes.bsky.social made me think about my relationship with my own daughter, the pride I feel at having maybe influenced her great taste in music, and how I love to listen to her recommendations. It also made me cry a little bit.

If I were Judge Xinis, I would order the government to produce, in her courtroom, officials who were in a position to answer her questions and to do so under oath. Letting DOJ continue to prevaricate and deflect responsibility in written submissions seems ... insufficient at this point.

Suckling on you are two humans...

Fuck ideas, they're all terrible.

I'm not religious but I believe in the holy trinity.

I invested all my money in basket rakes and now I'm clammed.
