It's going to be a beautiful weekend for an art show! #pottery

Today's community haul from our inaugural Raku firing! #raku #pottery

A pair of wheel-thrown 20oz mugs for the bespoke coffee drinker. Studio glazes light green matte, rusty bronze, and a rim kiss of pv clear on Standard 112 clay. #pottery #handmade

A couple of stoneware slipcast barrel tumblers for today's #20pots entry. #pottery #pottersofbluesky

Today's offering: a behemoth 28oz wheel thrown mug for those who really enjoy their favorite beverages #20pots #pottery #pottersofbsky

Hardly a complete firing, but it's a first for piecing together a kiln for me. Parts from two 1027s + bits and pieces from my stash. Thanks to #skuttkilns for making a great product so easy to work on! Meet Fronk Ensteen. The newest team member at Misty Morning Crafts. #It'sAlive #pottery

Maniacal laughter incoming and I build one glorious creature from two sets of body parts... FrankenKiln... Mwahahahaha

We just love the interaction between these studio glazes. Glaze chemistry is so cool! #pottery

A press mold created by Tony during a trip to Michigan last summer. Queen Ann's Lace is considered a weed that grows wild and freely, but makes a beautiful pattern in the clay! #pottery

Mommy Pots (tiny vases for tiny flowers) and Somethin' Bowls (...because everyone needs a little bowl for Somethin') in a variety of glazes. For scale, the widest bowl in the photos would be about 2.5 inches across. These are always a big hit at farmer's markets and art fairs alike. #pottery

Drinking tumbler with one of our favorite commercial glaze combos #pottery

Your next favorite coffee mug. Some assembly required.

In addition to pottery, Tony dabbles in 3d printing and makes some of his own tools as well as stamps for our students to use. These chakra stamps will be added to the collection for use in the studio as soon as they are cleaned up a bit more.

Tony has been working to add a lot of different kinds of texture and variation on his pieces. This one is his take on kirinuki with white underglazes and a clear dip. #pottery is life!

Here's a couple of Kate's pieces that were snatched up by customers just before the holidays. 10" flower pot and a 16" serving bowl. Wheel thrown stoneware with handmade glazes.

Since we're new here, I thought we would get this out in the open (where we all should feel safe) right away.

Here we are. Our first post on Bluesky. Kate and Tony Lake of Misty Morning Crafts standing with the garden totems they hand built in a workshop with the fabulous Kimberly Miller!
