Extremely Mizzou to beat the national champion on the road while looking like the clear better team for almost the entire game, and then finish 22-12 with a first round loss.

Time to switch to the secondary alma mater, so for the rest of the tournament

If you want to be even more annoyed tonight, Mizzou just lost to a team that was somehow successful at doing the same exact thing Mizzou was trying to do when it hired Kim Anderson

This Missouri team will always be a might-have-been. If Selection Sunday was a month earlier, they might have made the Final Four.

They're not quite gonna get over the mountaintop, are they?

Mizzou has a real chance. Must take advantage right now!

This season will still be a step forward, but man, we played like a top 5-10 team for like 6 weeks. This is just a really tough way to see that journey end.

Mizzou can still come back. That said, Mizzou's level of intensity, execution, and energy have dropped precipitously in the last few weeks. Total conjecture, but you have to wonder if there is some sort of issue in the locker room. Hopefully they roar back and make it a moot point.

The McNeese Cowboy has a bit of a resemblance…

Early NCAA tournament takeaway is that the ACC outside of Duke is horrendous. Louisville and Clemson both went 18-2. One meekly bowed out in an 8/9 game, and the other has 13 first half points against McNeese.

I really cannot begin to emphasize the extent to which I hope my bracket is wrong, because this would be horrendous.

Drake is just happy they didn't get slotted against Lamar University

6 seed and a solid path to the Sweet 16 if they're up for it? I'll take it.

Any game on Selection Sunday should have to tip off at noon or earlier. There is zero reason to allow games at 2:30 PM that are very likely to delay the main event of the day.

Mizzou is probably playing in an 8/9 game, which would have felt like a huge success in November, but not so much now. Oh well. Get Mark Mitchell back and go win.

Missouri isn't losing this game because of the refs, but every time Mizzou gets in range it does seem Kentucky magically gets a questionable call in its favor.

Mizzou is almost definitely going to make the NCAA tournament, but if I were on the committee I'd at least be talking about whether the team in the current state absolutely has to be in the bracket. They look like a NIT team right now.

I'm not happy.

Mizzou going from borderline elite to sucking for no apparent reason in a two week period is certainly a development

Last chance to build confidence and recapture momentum before the postseason. Today is MUCH bigger than the possible difference between a 4 seed and a 7 seed. This team needs to remind itself of what it's capable before games really matter. MIZ

Big Mizzou fan here, but this spread is full on bonkers if you've followed SEC basketball the last couple weeks.

Mizzou's defense has gone from meh but mostly fine to horrendous right in time for postseason play. Not ideal.

Mizzou is just not very good right now. Yikes. Need a quick fix or it's 21-12, one and done.

So I guess we kinda just stink on the road now, cool.

I think tonight is sneakily important game for Mizzou. I'm not overly concerned about what seed they end up as, but ahead of postseason play they need to re-prove that the team that once beat Florida and Mississippi State on the road can still handle itself away from Mizzou Arena.

Mizzou is basically replicating the Bama game against a fringe top 100 opponent instead of a natty contender. South Carolina is not having a fun time with that.

If the Mizzou/Alabama game was a vintage Picasso, Mizzou/Arkansas tonight is a water-color project that earned a failing grade in 9th grade Art Appreciation.

Arkansas commits most obvious foul in American history and Bud Walton Arena reacts like the ref just ejected the entire Arkansas team

That final Mizzou possession was the absolute definition of bad process, good result. You won't turn it down, though.

Mizzou certainly laying some bricks today after the all-timer of a performance Wednesday

Me when the Kentucky/Bama game finally ends and the Mizzou game is finally on ESPN

Cheering for Mississippi State against OU, because I'm morally opposed to a team that was at any point 3-10 in conference play being remotely in consideration for an at-large bid.

With Tennessee's win over Texas A&M, Missouri moves into the top 4 of the SEC standings. Will have to win tonight to stay there, obviously.

Whenever someone tailgates me aggressively, I'll assume it must be for some legitimate, urgent reason, and then like 85% of the time I'll see them peel off into a Starbucks or fast food drive-thru.

Joe Lunardi financed his waterbed.

Every Mizzou fan older than 25 when a bracketologist says "If Mizzou wins out, they could get a 2 seed..."

I love this team

I guess Mizzou Arena was just the wrong place at the wrong time for Nate Oats.

The Bama coach is such a little man-child lol

Holy hell Mark Mitchell
