I dreamed last night that I was at an elementary school event with Roslyn and Jimmy Carter. They were charming and chatted with me and the children, who were too young to know who they were. I think I am nostalgic for a time when the person in the White House was a truly decent human being.

A bit lopsided, as are all the cakes I bake, but I bet it will be delicious. Bringing a little bit of Mardi Gras to Maine.

I am proud of my governor for speaking the truth and standing up for what's right.

Thank you, Governor Mills.

"This is not a drill."

Folks: I am NOT affiliated with the group that is using my name to support an economic boycott. Please spread this post, if you would.

Not sure how I ended up on this mailing list, but I don't think I will be sending the requested donation.

This is depressing but not at all surprising.

Perfect breakfast for a very snowy morning. Maybe we will have leftovers for tomorrow.

We just finished hiring for two positions. A few observations: A well-written cover letter helps you stand out. Don't submit a resume riddled with typos (esp. for a proofreading job!). Read the job description! A hybrid job requiring on-site presence eight days/month can't be done fully remote.

My thoughts today are with my friends John and Heidi, whose son Cody was in a terrible car accident last week. His "walk of honor" as an organ donor is this afternoon. Rest in peace, Cody, and may your generous gift save other lives. 💔

A bit lopsided, as are all homemade Pennington birthday cakes. We celebrated Nick's birthday with a raclette dinner and a chocolate hazelnut cake. Back to my cholesterol reducing plan tomorrow!

In 1985, when we were both a lot younger, I hired this guy to be the cook at the Theater at Monmouth. We’ve been together ever since. He still feeds me well and makes me laugh. Happy birthday to my dearest Nick. 😍 @nickazz.bsky.social
