Happy Pride Month! All month I'll be recommending queer horror for you. Today, I'm recommending The Luminous Dead by Caitlin Starling. You'll never look at caving horror the same way again.

I'll never forget that my father, who always told me I was never smart enough, spent hours unsticking and resticking the Rubix cube squares to look like he'd solved the puzzle. Anyway, it's my one year anniversary of having a literary agent and I've published 17 short stories.

Happy Pride Month! All month I'll be recommending queer horror for you. Today's rec is A SINCERE WARNING ABOUT THE ENTITY IN YOUR HOME. Although the narrator's gender is never openly revealed and their "partner Tom" is possibly an alias, this horror short rings queer. Loved.

Check out the latest from Thriller Magazine, featuring my story "The Enemy Within"! Print copies for purchase, free with Kindle Unlimited! www.amazon.com/gp/product/B...

Happy Pride Month! All month I'll be recommending queer horror for you. First on the list is Julia Armfield's "Our Wives Under the Sea." Beautiful and literary, this body horror explores the depth of a relationship crumbling after one of them vanishes and returns changed.

“It’s not just a horror novel,” I say. “It’s about loneliness, decay, and the horror of being perceived.” Also me: names the demon Ralph #amwritinghorror #writingcommunity #writerlife

don't worry if your novel is good enough Bear, a Canadian bestiality novel, won a prestigious literary award and was a bestseller

Gen Z might be into trends that make you go “huh?”—but try them anyway. They’ll hype you up like you invented eyeliner.

boy this post really caused a chain reaction

while I'm out here spitting facts for your novels, I just want to remind you

yes i am on the spectrum

Today I learned that giant chains breathe. Due to the oxidation in rooms with these babies, you can die in about 24 hours in an enclosed space with a ship's giant chain. Put that in your novel.

time to draft

new psychiatrist: have you ever felt violent against another person? me: i mean have you been on the Internet? her: ... me: now isn't the time to be funny, is it?

when my doctor tells my overweight, chain-smoking, coffee guzzling ass that I'm "doing great"

I don't mean to brag (I mean, I *do*, but--) but I may have found a first edition of The Handmaid's Tale at a secondhand book store for $5.

Very excited about Big Things for Tin Heart. dreamy sapphic literary sci fi horrorromance

I don't want to be like the rest of the crowd, but we are getting into a trend here.

So totally thrilled to announce that my poem "we are not immune to propaganda" was accepted to Waffle Fried Literary Magazine! Written to express the issues on X and other social media sites, I hope you know I'm here for you, my sisters. 🏳️‍⚧️

I can't tell you how sad, exhausted & furious I am right now: The sapphic book community is facing another catfishing situation. There's a pattern of obvious deception, but I want you to draw your own conclusions. Please check it out on my blog: jae-fiction.com/another-catf...

Complaining. It's my favorite thing to do. So I did it on Substack. open.substack.com/pub/mjhuntsg...

I clean up ok

Just got cut off by a Chevy Cruze with a bumper sticker that says "vote Harambe 2020" and a picture of a chimp. These are truly the end times.
