What the big stores should do is for every item on your receipt, a separate line listing the tariff cost applies for that item. It would show the cost of the tariffs front and center, and Trump could no longer say the exporter is paying it because you see it in black and white.

So the US lost $15 TRILLION so far as of 4/8 since Trump took office. Our trade deficit is currently $1.06 Trillion. We could have paid the entire trade deficit for 14+ years with the wealth lost in the last 2 months. Or, we could have reduced the National debt by 40%. None of this makes sense.
