This makes me happy, not because I think he’s a bad manager, but because he drives Yankees fans insane. I just wish it was a longer extension.

In just one year, Rubenstein is gonna go from being celebrated while handing out free hats in the stands to not even being able to sit in his front row seats without being mercilessly booed.

The #Orioles are either trading for Cease tomorrow or going into the season with a 7-man rotation. Or both?

Bad. It was bad.

I can’t imagine Elias’ reaction to Preller asking for Jordan fucking Westburg. “Hey how about you give me your 2nd best hitter on the major league roster who’s controlled for 5 more seasons and I’ll give you a rental ace who you won’t re-sign. Waddaya say?!”

It all makes sense now

Me waiting for the #Orioles to trade for an ace. Do it, Elias. Do it!

Ok ok ok a trade has to be happening soon, right? RIGHT?

Replace Povich with McDermott/Suarez and I’m thrilled

Not sure what’s dumber: The stupid Hawks choosing Trae Young instead of Luka The stupid Kings taking Bagley over Luka The stupid Mavs trading 25-year-old Luka to the Lakers for 31-year-old Anthony Davis

Last year, Elias was taking pictures with Joey Ortiz at the caravan event and just days later, Ortiz was traded… Who’s it gonna be this year? #Orioles

Well that’s not Michael King

The thought of Elias pulling off a trade for King… after the Yankees traded King for Soto only to lose Soto to the Mets a year later…

But hey, at least there’s a new Chief Legal Officer AND a new food menu!

I think Ken nails it. Yeah the Dodgers have some pretty significant advantages, but the biggest problem in baseball is rich asshole owners not even trying to compete. And goddam the Cubs owner is an enormous asshole.

Ok so this sucks. I’ll always love Santander. Seeing Tony in Toronto is gonna sting. But I really don’t think this is a major blow to the #Orioles and there’s a reason that no other team except for the desperate Jays were willing to give him 5 years.

Ugh gross

I think I blocked the Yovani Gallardo saga out of my mind

Read this and Grant Balfour’s career flashed before my eyes

A 3-year deal for a relief pitcher is basically a 12-year deal for a starter in the Orioles’ eyes

Sure this is fine. Please don’t be done.

If there’s no big time trade and/or extension(s), it’s probably not the best idea for David Rubenstein to sit behind home plate on his own bobblehead day

O's fans: can you build a formidable World Series contender? Orioles: here's a bobblehead of the owner

A statue brought to you by Bud Light!

I just can’t imagine the #Orioles sticking with a rotation of Eflin/Grayson and a dozen back-of-the-rotation starters.

Ahhhh the classic move before *the* move

Wait what?

Soooooo the #Browns

I’m gonna miss waking my 5-year-old up by singing Corbin Burnes’ name to the tune of “Señor Burns” on days he was pitching youtu.be/tkbeHhnX_yk?...

#Orioles have to trade for either Dylan Cease/Luis Castillo/Pablo Lopez to salvage this offseason. My preference is Lopez because we’d have him for 3 seasons. My guess is if Elias swings this kind of trade, it’ll be for Cease. Then we’ll do this whole stupid dance all over again next year!

Ugh, thoughts: 1. #Orioles could’ve easily topped that 2. But he lives in Arizona, has kids, probably wanted to sign w the Dbacks 3. Why choose the division w the Dodgers? 4. Repeat No. 2 5. Will be super disappointing if/when we find out Elias didn’t even come close to making a competitive offer

Mayo/Mountcastle/McDermott should be enough for the #Orioles to get Pablo Lopez. Also, teams should get something nice, like extra international signing bonus pool money for using alliteration in trades. Something to think about.
